  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm not much of a prankster. I live by this rule of thumb:
prank unto others as you would have them prank you. :p

and since I don't want to be the victim of revenge, I keep out of it!
Thankfully, my coworkers are big pranksters and they get each other all the time! Let's see... so far since I've worked here these have been done:
wrapping/filling someone's cubicle (and ALL the objects in them)with aluminum foil, wrapping paper, plastic wrap, and balloons.

Stripping bare our boss' entire office while he was on vacation.

When one of our team was leaving, they covered every inch of the desk and floor of one guy's cubicle with cans and made a Mountain Dew "door" for him to get through:

That sounds like a fun place to work!... I worked at a resturant once and we had the best time pranking new employees. Here are a few of the things we would do..

*We would tell the new employee that we needed him to go to the resurant next door and get the bacon strecher... or the mop trimmer, or a can of A.I.R, or a bucket of steam! And we would always make sure the would ask for a manager. There faces were always priceless when they returned, and it was funny when the resturant next door would send their new employees to us for those non existent items as well
*We would have a new employee empty the hot water out of the coffee machine. (it is a continous flow, there is no way anyone could empty it) But we never let them get farther than a five gallon bucket full.
*I would always put lemon wedges on the sholders of other employees. They would walk around with a little yellow friend on their shoulder and most the time would not notice it until one of the guest asked why they had a lemon on their shoulder.

I always had to be careful who I did these things to, you never know who might get offended by a lemon!! However I know for a fact our staff made it through many stressful, busy nights because we were always having a good time and joking aroung with eachother.
