"Excuse me, I don't mean to be a pest, but how did you do that??"

(sarcastis tone) "Oh my gosh!! what is the honor of having, Crissy, the most popular girl in school talk to little me!! OH PLEASE" SArah responded freshly.

Sarah continued to look around out of the cornrer of her eye as she faced Crissy. At last she noticeda small buble rising from th ewater and coming toward her. The buble stoped over her head and dropped. Crissy screamed. Sarah noticed the boy under the tree focusing on the water the way she would foucus on fire. After the buble poped, the boy smirked. There was no doubt in her mind that it was him. "Mabybe you shoold ask him how he did that.She ran over to him.

"Ah, ha!! It was you! You think thats funnny! i'll show u funny!"

At that moment Her hand caught fire and she held it in front of his face.

"I'm not someone that you mess with!!"

Jade instantly stopped smiling, jumping down easily. She stared at Sarah, feeling herself pulled into the girl's mind. Fire. It was burning. But her hand wasn't. How interesting. Stop. You don't want to hurt him. You want to stop. You're going to stop.

Chase only raised an eyebrow at Sarah. He pulled out his water bottle and uncapped it. Using his ability, he pulled out some of the water and dropped it onto Sarah's burning fist. He didn't look the least bit scared as he recapped the water bottle and leaned against the tree.

Brian and his friends were skating around the park when Brian saw something going on at the pond. “Hey Brian, what’s up?” one of his friends asked, “Nothen, I’ll see you guys later.” He responded as he got off his skateboard, and flipped it into his hands. He walked over and leaned against a tree watching.

Danny wandered over to the park. There were a bunch of kids from school over by the pond. He decided to watch.

Chrissy was shocked as the girl ran over to a boy sitting by a tree across from them. The girl had been rude, but she guessed she deserved it. She'd been rude to plenty of people. That's what was expected of her though. Transending and rude. That was who so was. But things had changed now...lately she had been having a lot more 'episodes'. She had been seeing peoples memoris and thoughts more and more. She decided to sit back and see what the girl would do to the boy. It would make great gossip tomorrow.

 

[FireRock]

Jenny watched the confrontation between the boy and the girl with interest. A few times the chatter in the tree she was sitting near became a little too loud and she shushed the birds and squirrels.

"What are you watching?" a random female squirrel asked as she held herself halfway down the trunk of the tree.

"Those humans over there," Jenny reponded without thinking, "Something about them has peaked my interest."

"I watch humans all the time!" a robin higher in the tree announced, "I watch them for food!" He laughed at his own joke and serveral others joined in the laughter.

Jenny rolled her eyes at the lame joke and swuinted over at the boy and the gril again. "Was her hand really on fire?" she thought to herself, leaning a little to try and get a better look. It seemed like the boy just dumped his water bottle on the girl's firey hand without even a flinch, which was odd. Jenny didn't think she'd take that sort of confrontation so lightly. She debated walking by them to try and catch more of their conversation, or sending a furry friend to do it, but she wasn't sure how close she wanted to get to a couple of people fighting and threatening each other with fire and water.

"What if..." she murmured quietly, thinking to herself as she continued watching the scene from over the top of her open manga.

"C'mon Rach," Kevin whined, throwing another box down to her, "Only a couple more hours left, and it won't even be dark by the time we get out of here."

Rachel groaned something mostly uninteligible and caught the box, tossing it off to the side to be carried out onto the floor later. The cashiers had all taken their breaks and whatnot, so this was the part of her shift that would drag out the longest.

Sarah couldn't believe his attitude with her. She was furious but suddenly she kinda heared a voice in her head,

Stop. You don't want to hurt him. You want to stop. You're going to stop.


And Sarah didn't feel so angry any more. instead she said to him.

"How did you do that. I know that I've had control over fire for a while. but how do you handle water and how long have you been able to?"

Chase was still cautious. He wasn't sure just how much information he wanted to share. "Why do you want to know?" he asked warily.

"How's about we head over to the park?" Mike suggested. "Yeah, it sounds dorky, I know, but I got a whole bunch more prank stuff yesterday."

"Park will be fine. Maybe we can find some girls to take as dates to spring Fling. Do you have any chics in mind?"

((I thought a dance would be a fun thing for everyone to get together. If you dont want to it I'll change my post but I think it would be fun for everyone to play along ))

((Gah! I am so sorry! I can't believe I've missed 12 pages! *jumps on it* So here's Jason's intro)

19 year old Jason stepped off the bus, he felt his lip curl in disgust.
There he was, back home in Salem. Dusty. He had gone away for a few days to tour different universities he was thinking about attending.
His Father had more or less forbidden him from going away to school, but as usual Jason had rebelled and just left.
After expericing a few days in the city he was sorely tempted to just stay there. But he did have friends..well, namely one.

Jade.

She had been almost a like a little sister to the only child, Jason. And he did care about her, so he came home for her, and his mother.
His father was something all together different, he wanted Jason to join the "family business" ...what exactly that business was Jason had yet to figure out.

Even in the warm weather Jason didn't take off his black top-hat. It was his trademark.
It originated from some stupid school quiz, apperently people thought Jason was most like Lewis Carrol's "Mad Hatter", this also started his nickname: "Hatter."​

Jason remembered wondering why he couldn't of been "Prince Charming", heck he would've even settled for the "Frog Prince." But it seemed the Hatter was now his alter ego.
He remembered trying to get Jade to agree to be "The March Hare." but she refused laughingly.
She was one of the few people that could laugh with him. Most people were scared to do too much around him.

Brushing his black hair away from his face, he began the walk back to his house.
It wasn't far if he cut through the park.

Shouldering his bag he began the walk back, he checked his cell phone as he walked.

No calls from home...no surprise there. Father would be too proud to call and Mom would be scared of making Father angry by calling me. He sighed and tucked it back in his pocket.

Jason squinted his eyes against the sun, looking at a figure in the distance.

Who was that?

"Well if you insist on knowing. I'm curious. In case u haven't noticed, its not exactly normal for peple to do the things we do, and I just wanted to know if you have any answers that I dont. Why us? Why can we do these things? Can anyone else do anything like us? How long have you been able to do this? Do you think we're just freaks?"

She stared at him fearcely waiting for answers.

Chase only stared at Sarah for a few moments and then said, "The answer to most of your questions is I don't know, and no, I don't think that we're freaks." He deliberately didn't answer her question about how long he had been able to control water. He still didn't fully trust Sarah, and wasn't about to give away anything personal.

 

[Lessien]

"Park will be fine. Maybe we can find some girls to take as dates to spring Fling. Do you have any chics in mind?"

Mike grinned mischeviously. "Yeah, I got a couple...." With that, he drove on to the park, only to find Kate sitting there, reading a book. Probably something freakishly smart--and boring.

Kate saw Mike and Alex coming towards her without looking up from her book. After several weeks of these visions, she was used to it. Rolling her eyes, she turned the page.

 

[Jenka]

Jason shouldered his bag and hopped the chain-link fence into the park.
It was quicker to his place from the bus stop if he took a quick detour.

His dark eyes scanned the area and noticed a few other young people.
But they weren't playing at anything, just talking, and by the look of it deeply, however most of their backs were to him, so he couldn't recognize anyone.

Feeling a bit of nostalgia Jason walked up to one of the swings and sat down in it. He hadn't been on a swing in years.
He rocked gently, being in no rush to return home only to have his Father yell and his Mother cry.

He raised a hand to his face and rubbed his eyebrow ring. Some sweat from his brow had dripped down and the salt made the piercing itchy.

Silently Jason enjoyed the soft breeze that cooled him only slightly.
Lately he had been feeling odd..like he wasn't fitting properly in his own skin.
He knew it didn't make sense so he kept it to himself, but he felt uncomfortable all the time and he felt like he should be doing something.

He woke up a few nights ago with his fingers twitching, and all of his muscles tense.
Jason had been dreaming he had been doing something...something important..but as soon as he woke up his dream dissapered. Leaving only the urge to do whatever it was.

The swing creaked, and Jason took off his hat and placed it in his lap, feeling the breeze comb through his long black hair.

 

[Lessien]

Mike sauntered over to where Kate was sitting and leaned over her shoulder, folding his arms over the back of the bench. "'I got a tankful of gas in the truck. I didn' let nobody get into that,'" he read. Kate ignored him. Mike read a few more lines aloud, and Kate closed her book and turned to face him.

"Go away."

"Says who?" Mike grinned.

"I say so. After saving your pathetic skin from in-school suspension, you owe me a few moment's peace, at least." Mike raised an eyebrow threateningly. "I might not do it again, and you'll be stuck with constant lectures from 'Adolf Stockdale.'"

Mike couldn't argue. "Lemme know when you've stopped being so smart." With that, he grinned mysteriously and sauntered away.

Kate went back to her book.

((Roar. I'm not sure how to throw my characters into the group. Hey, about what time of the day is it now in the story?))

Jenny watched closely. For some reason, she was highly intrigued with the whole ordeal, although she wasn't sure why.

"They're talking about water and fire," a different robin spoke after landing next to Jenny on the ground. He poked around for bugs before continuing. "If you want, i could wait in that tree they're standing under and see what other info I can find out," he said, then pecked the ground a couple more times.

Jenny laid her manga in her lap and watched the robin in thoughtful silence for a few moments before replying. She wasn't exactly sure what to say. "I don't know," she said with a sigh, "Water and fire, huh? That's intersting, especially since they semi-threatened each other with both those objects." She paused again and watched the robin, who looked back at her for a second, then went back to searching the grass. "Yeah, I guess if you could, it'd be nice. If nothing else, it could prove interesting," she finally decided aloud. Within moments, the robin took off, followed by two other robins that happened to be in the tree Jenny was sitting under.

She watched them go and sighed again, absently watching the boy and the girl continue talking without knowing what they were saying, yet.

((Okay...I was kind of figuring that they got out of school right after first period or just into second period, so that would make it around 2pm-ish in my mind. *shrug* That's why I was asking. ))
