  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I got into acrylic pour paintings a year or two ago, and fell in love with it! I had to put my hobby on hold for the past year, and tonight was my first foray back into painting again. I love the result and can't wait to do more!

I never heard of acrylic pour painting before. I like it, it looks like a painting that the more you look at the more you see and you can imagine all kinds of things in the shapes. Like looking at clouds.

I forget how I came across it, honestly. But it looked so fun and easy, I tried it and I was hooked :) I think it's a fairly new fad. It involves mixing various thicknesses of paints, layering them in various ways, and pouring them onto a canvas (hence the name "pour painting") to create different effects and designs and shapes. It's incredibly addictive :D

If I tell you what I see, does that count as therapy?

Are you pouring the paint on to a medium coated on a surface. or just straight on to a dry surface
Onto a dry, but pre-gessoed canvas :) They come that way from the craft store. But you can also pour down a layer of paint beforehand, and then either let it dry or leave it wet and pour onto it. Lots of ways to do it!
