  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

very nice. first two i had with butter and honey (toasted) second lot i just...toasted..and scoffed 'em... :D

lol

I have two favourite ways of eating them, both cause a noticable thickening of the blood!

Favourite way number 1: Fried in a crusty roll with an egg and brown sauce.

Favourite way number 2: Fried and eaten as part of ginormous fry up. 'We're gonna need a bigger plate'

Mmmm my circulation is getting all blocked up just thining about it!

Well we here in NI must have something different them, b/c I have never ever seen round potato bread or scones or whatever you wanna call them.
Hmmm quite confusing!!!

The ones in NI are the same as the ones in Scotland - they are round. When they are packed they are sliced in half and then scored in half again so you buy a semicircular pack which splits in half to give to the triangular scones (or bread if you prefer! ;) ) Those are the most common ones. You can also buy much smaller round ones.

Traditionaly bread is puffy (it rises as you cook it) and you can make it any shape you like, we slice it flat. Most bread is cooked in an oven. Traditional scones were (and still are in some places) cooked on a griddle. Potato scones are cooked on a griddle (in the factory). Many people call those little fat pancakes 'drop scones' because they are cooked like traditional scones.
