Post was Deleted ???!

I had a Go fund me post for a friend whose home was destroyed by fire. However it was deleted. I don't see any rules about posting a fundraiser. It is not like I am hurting anyone, I am just trying to do a good thing for someone. See pictures below of the damage.

Perhaps you could post that link on Facebook if you have an account there and/or someone else with an account on Facebook? There's an enormous amount of traffic there, and perhaps Facebook would allow it.

Does your friend have insurance? Is Red Cross or any other charities helping?

That is absurd. It is my duty to be a good Christian. I am trying to help others out. I don't get how people can be so uncaring about stuff like this....

I am not too sure if she did or not, I seen the post on her facebook. I feel so bad, she recently just moved from the apartment I was living in. Such a horrible thing to happen. Thank you for your prayers.

I did indeed post it to FB. I figured to also post here since people here are caring and supportive but the Forums won't allow that...

Not that I know of yet. I hope she will get some help. That is an awful situation to be in.

Usually the Red Cross and similar organizations will kick in and start helping, especially with a fire that horrendous that most likely was all over the news. If a family is destitute, a social worker may be assigned to them to ensure that all bases are covered as the social worker advocates on their behalf.

Posting and asking for prayers for your friend is a good and caring thing to do. But you have to understand that on a forum like this, if such posts were allowed, it would become a target zone for scammers. There would be no way to tell whose need was genuine and whose was not. Your friend's fire would get buried under everything else. And good-hearted Christians would be scammed out of their money.

No system is perfect, but please don't accuse everyone of being uncaring because rules are necessary. Sometimes they have to be enforced to protect others from those who would take advantage of the situation if there were no rules. If everyone behaved perfectly, all the rules we have wouldn't be needed. But unfortunately, people don't, and all kinds of rules must be enforced as a result.

Prayers for your friend. Sharing on FB and asking others to share may get the word out to more people who can help. Also if she needs things replaced, rather than asking just for money, many groups and people are often more willing to help. God be with you.
