CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I spent the night with a friend once she had set us up on 3 dates for the same night. we went on all of them... burgers and fries for the first one, had to be home early....
the second we went to thte skating rink.... for about 45 minutes she went to the pay phone and called me to hte phone, we had to go home early again, then the third one was for 10 pm, and we went to a late movie...

My mom crashed emotionally when she had a hysterectomy as well.

She tried being controlling, like these trips to the coast I've been on, I told her I was going, she told me I couldn't, planned stuff with me without talking to me first, stuff like that. She's gotten a little better

That's pretty much what I've seen of alcoholic parents -- the kids are left to raise themselves

I had a lot of fun, but didn't date a lot. my father was a big prankster. along with the rest of the family...
once I had been to the dentist, had sodium pentathol to pull the tooth, the dentists son was 18 and wh picked me up to carry me into the recovery area, I told him I loved him, my sister in law was ther, she set up a date with him for me and I didn't know it.

My sister had to have an ovary taken out and part of the other one, but she still had 4 kids and 2 of them are twins.
