My parents are alcoholics and have been since I can remember so I didn't fancy staying home from school when they were there. Once I got into 11th grade, and started doing classes at the community college instead, I didn't have to have notes anymore, so I could skip any time I felt like it...which was a little too often since I was going through a bit of an emotional melt down because of family stuff.

That is a tough one... One of my best friends ever -- both her parents were alcoholics and co-dependant too... Her dad was abusive to her mom -- totally screwed up...

I was a serious shop lifter in middle school too. It was alot the influence of my boyfriend, he got expelled from school for stealing like $800 worth of stuff from the locker rooms over a period of about a week.

My mom at least had good intentions. She was not there because she was trying to get an education.

Oh mom had great intentions, she owned her own business, and was active in church, just when she had her hystroectomy she went throught the chang and she was only like 40 then. That would have been in 1958 ir 59 and they didn't know what they know today. It just made he so darned depressed.

I have some trouble with my mother now, its gotten a little better. I transfered my membership from the church my parents go to the one I've been going to for almost 2 yrs now and she really had issues with it

I didn't make the dates, other people did or the guys just assumed.

I remember one night my friend set me up with a blind date (without my knowledge), my mom made arrangements for me to go out with this "nice young man" and my brother told his friend that I would go out with him.
I skipped out the back door and went to the mall. That was one of many incidents quite similar.
