I see you DO take these things into account Rooster! Now THERES a ride!

B4Ashes, you've got the 'bug', too? A mophead just to slam around on some hills wouldn't be bad either! I've done that with a 4x4 truck of mine once on the sand dunes in NC. Well, I did it till I saw another truck, abandoned with a broken axel as I rounded the bend one day. I paused and realized it would be just my usual kind of luck to bust an axel and have to foot it back in. Not that I mind hoofing it in the least, its just that the tide rolled in on that particular patch of sand quickly and my truck would be several feet deep when I'd return! LOL

NOW ... the bike I do have at the moment is my new TREK hybrid 26 speed ...

Come September I'm hitting Vermont with this baby, a back pack, fold-up tent and will be logging in much mileage and camping along the way.

I have everything except a miniature bible for my 'walk-about'. Right now I just have the new testament in my purse. As long as I get a small version for the back pack and a hi-liter ... I'll be set to go!

I did this one year on my birthday ... just 'disappeared' off the radar screen to family and friends. Only one sister knew my whereabouts, not even my husband (who was the reason I needed time away). I just wanted to be alone and re-examine my life's choices. I spent a week up in Vermont away from everyone. I fiddle-farted here in an antique store, fiddle-farted there in Montplier's very quaint, very victorian library, hiked Smuggler's Notch, sat by Lake Champlain ... and on my birthday bought myself dinner out ALONE! I'm going to do it again this year, spend my birthday alone to 'think' and reflect and have some soulful conversations with my Heavenly Father along the way.

I love the New England states ... especially that time of year. I don't know, maybe this time I'll try Maine? Hmmmm, I like that idea. Maybe this year Maine it is! This way I can add another state to my list.
