[Lost Witness]

It's been since August that I was able to wear a dress and heels. Today was the first time to wear them. I've been sad seeing my dresses hanging in the closet not being worn.

Also the local American legion posted an awards ceremony for veterans. They have been doing this since 2004. The first awards were given when veterans returned from World War I and they thought it was a good idea and were able to get the funds to do this every year. It was nice to be recognized and I loved seeing the much older veterans. And a few much younger.

It was a blustery windy cold snowy day, my fur vest was the perfect addition.

On Saturday, November 26 the Orion spacecraft broke the record for the farthest distance traveled from Earth of a human-rated spacecraft. The record was previously held by Apollo 13 at 248,655 statute miles from Earth. On Monday, Nov. 28, Orion will reach its maximum distance from Earth at approximately 272,514.9 miles.

The Christmas lights switch on in Lichfield this evening. Live musicians, a market selling foods and gifts, lots of decorations and the Advent service at the cathedral was well attended.
