I was laughing, because it sounds like you only have one such place in your area...it's just different, that's all.

To put it into perspective, Chiquito is one up from Wendy's and one down from TGI Friday's.

When I go there, I usually go for the rack of barbecue ribs! There's a TGI next door, but everything there has Jack Daniel's sauce and I'm not keen on the flavour of whisky!

It's been SO long since I last visited a Chiquito... I think my last order was in 2012 sometime - I think I ordered a double stack chicken burger with an extra patty. I said "can I have the extra patty as a beef patty please - and slide it between the two chicken ones."

They thought I was mad, but they've probably added it to the menu since...

I was never a big eater-out until our canalside area was redeveloped and they opened a range of trendy restaurants. Chiquitos, Nandos, TGIs, Pizza Express and Bella Italia. My favourites are Chiquitos and Nandos, but I prefer Chiquitos because it's more fun in there and I like the sombreros!

They always serve their meals with fries/chips - and they're usually very good. The portions are usually very good and a dessert is rarely needed!

Ripon, Cathedral City of the Yorkshire Dales. One of the smallest cathedral cities in the country. The city's motto is taken from the Bible: ""Except ye Lord keep ye Cittie ye Wakeman waketh in vain".
Every night the wakeman sounds his horn in the market square to set the watch and to ensure the citizens that they are in safekeeping for the night, a tradition that has been unbroken since the year 886.
It also has a magnificent cathedral, quite a prominent landmark in such a small settlement. I remember being invited for tea with the bishop!

View from the window of Moseley Old Hall, near Wolverhampton. Known as the hiding place of Charles II after the Battle of Worcester in 1651. I love going to the house with my National Trust pass, having a guided tour with people in historic costumes, seeing the priest hole where Charles II hid, walking around the grounds and then going out to the barn's cafe for tea and scones!

More views from The Wrekin. The walk to the top is always exhausting and it's sometimes deflating knowing that there's not much there apart from a television transmitter. But the views are amazing.

I have done more journeys to and from York than I can remember and there is no better way to arrive than at its fabulous station with its magnificent architecture. Despite being featured in one of the Harry Potter films, you will probably never get to see the Hogwarts Express here, but instead fast electric trains travelling through on their way from London to Scotland, complete with pantographs and overhead cables!
