Strange spider-like creature I found scurring about on the beach.

Got a fire going on the beach that my loved ones and I could enjoy at night. Not easy to do with the wind roaring against it.

Sleak sports car parked not too far away.

All very interesting and I'm glad that you found something that you can continue to learn from.

Looks very nice. I've never built a fire on the beach.

Tomorrow is international literacy day. I checked out a whole load of books and still more on the way. Half of these pictured I am returning. Also did a fun 2-mile run with a friend and her son. We put a book in our backpack. Mine was let your mind run and his was about farting. He's 9 years old.

It's quite a challenge to start and keep going. But being completely isolated out on the beach at night, next to a fire to keep warm as the ocean roars in front of you, and with the Milky Way Galaxy in all its majesty overhead and hardly any lights nearby, is such a mysterious and peaceful experience.

Yesterday I got a bucket of flowers picked and today after work I arranged the flowers in bouquets and drove over to some of the neighbor's yards to give flowers. I was able to meet one neighbor that lives behind me and also talk to another one that I have seen when I've been walking by her house.

A tough 10.6 mile run but I wanted to keep some momentum for my next big run that I have coming up next week. I plan to run 14 and 1/2 next Saturday. I will start at a University campus and hopefully get to hear a little bit from the football stadium and maybe see some tailgate parties. Hopefully parking will be still easy because of covid-19.

The architecture at this building fascinates me. The full view of it reminds me of the Ghostbusters movie. When there are dark clouds over this building it reminds me of that scene with lightning. Much of the work has the Masons all over it.

Beautiful sunset when I returned. There were a lot of people with takeout food that sat and ate while watching the sunset. I also saw a lot of people with fishing poles.

Upon my return I noticed that there was a lot of people that made their own parking spaces because the restaurant nearby is packed out. The town I live in has changed its theme to a lake town. Many things are changing with new buildings and new restaurants.

I cooked hot dogs outside in the fire ring for the first time. Uncured all beef hot dogs. They were delicious right out of the fire.
Discovered some red mushrooms in my yard after
Only about three pumpkins came out of my pumpkin patch. These two I will put on my front door steps.

I've always wanted to try that in my backyard burnpit. I'm still waiting for the weather to cool off and Fall to arrive in full swing so I can use it again.

It's been something on my mind for quite some years and I finally just said, just do it! And in that time I had a year worth of sticks that were built up that I was burning too. I was able to have a hose to drag out that way to keep everything contained. I ate the hot dogs pretty much right after I had cooked them outside as I was starting the fire. Even one of them had dropped in the ashes and I still ate it. Haha.
It's a great feeling to have something done that I've been thinking about for some years. I hope you can also do this as it's a nice experience.

That doesn't sound very appetizing...

It's so serene as well sitting out by the fire at night, and great for meditation too. Plus I'm a bit of a pyromaniac.

Earth and Moon as seen from Mars (Nov. 20, 2016). It is a composite of two images as the Moon is much darker than Earth. The images were taken by the HiRISE camera on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.

Very nice photos.
I'm wanting to see some of the Fall foliage where I live and hope I can, weather and fires permitting.
I bet it's beautiful over there during the Fall. I'm looking forward to seeing what pictures everyone posts on here once the Fall season officially arrives.

14.5 mile run yesterday. It was over 3 hours because I had to walk through the crowds at a college campus that had a huge turnout for football. It was exciting to see the changes compared to last year when everyone had to social distance and wear their mask outside. I caught all kinds of interesting pregame activities. Here are some photos that I took on my run.
These rocks were placed everywhere along the trail.

Delilah's
beautiful scenery as I ran along the river.

Empadas, Argentine food. I ate this after my run. Unfortunately while I was waiting for the food I experienced heat exhaustion and my vision started to turn black. It wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get it across the street, so I sat down on the grass. And once I crossed I sat on the sidewalk in shade until I could regain my eyesight.

I had planned to sit and eat in my car but was glad to eventually find a ledge and sit and eat my empadas. As I sat I was able to see these Blue Angels fly over for the game. Not the best picture.. but you can only imagine how spectacular it was. The whole timing of everything it might run and the things that I got to see with the competing teams train going through traffic.. cars honking and seeing the platting ceremony for the band of the home college team was amazing in itself. And the fact that I didn't have to pay $30 for parking like most everyone else and who knows how much for tickets to enjoy the festivities.
I am so blessed 21 years later to be able to run the furthest run since my Marathon in 2000 in Japan.
