Saying goodbye to a 7-year friendship. My heart is hurting. I don't understand how men and women sometimes can't be strictly friends. My heart is shattered, my tears are falling, and I'm broken.

I go to God tonight, and as I journal to Him, I just pour out all my feelings and He gently whispers, "You can't do this on your own."

Identifying that I am weak, but I am made strong....through Him. I can't do this journey by myself, I can't get through this heartache by myself. I need a Savior.

I'm so sorry to hear. But you are turning to the right place. Only the Holy Spirit and God's word can meet you where you are. I've also learned over time there are some men I cannot be strictly friends with. Many times there is an unrequited love in some of the friendships that I have had. More so them. I will be praying for you tonight.

I'm sorry you're hurting sweet one. I've walked that road more than I care to admit. I don't have male friends. It always ends the same. My Christian 'brothers' were waiting to make their move. The confession always came. I learned to share my heart with women.

ETA: I don't have unmarried male friends. I prefer to befriend couples.

The same holds true outside the fold. I shared my thoughts with someone recently. He put me on Twitter. He was lamenting the fact I cared for someone. But he has a woman. They've been together for years. Still he persists.

God is the man in my life. He's good and kind. He doesn't come to me with angles or agendas. And I love Him.

Yeah, most of my male friends are married. And thankfully, my single guy friends and I have strictly a platonic relationship.

But this one, it just got messy. And, it just hurts. I wish there wasn't feelings involved. We have good chemistry and connection as friends. I wish it was just that.

I'm going through that right now with a female friend because of a disagreement about the vaccine. We were good friends in junior high and reconnected some 20 years later as sisters in Christ.

Are you usually a person who dreams? Does the Lord speak to you in your dreams?

Makes me wonder if my grandfather came through here when he entered illegally...

Yeah, so far I worked for a few hours this morning, then I checked out a new beach, now I'm just leaving the gym, gonna get some grub, then I have work again.

The suckie part is that I'm gonna miss rehearsals at Synagogue, and Men's prayer...

My boss says it won't happen again.

I hope your day is fun as well!

I went to the local shop in the cooler evening air as the sun was setting. On the way there I was distracted by the scent of flowers, but I couldn't see any flowers anywhere. On the way back I realised the scent was coming from a tree. It was covered in thousands of tiny little flowers, and in the cool still air, the scent around the tree was thick with the sweet smell.

A little further along, I got distracted by another scent. Some flowers were cascading over someone's garden wall and into the park. These were producing a very intense, sickly-sweet scent. Not sure what they were. Jasmine perhaps.

Yeah, I just got on the tech team, and I'm learning how everything works, so I need as much practice as possible.

All I did today was abs at the gym. I did have a nice ride before that though. I did biceps yesterday and somehow I tweaked my neck, so I decided not to do traps today, as planned.

I got the shower in though, that's the main thing!

Home-made pizza. Guess I have to eat it all. Shucks. I guess its one of the drawbacks to being single...I have to eat all this marvelous food by myself. Golly...

I just asked because I know the Lord speaks to me through dreams many times. I think it's a gift I inherited for my father. A friend I got together with yesterday relate some pretty good dreams and she has the same gift. I don't meet too many people who have dreams like my friend and I. I can sometimes have lucid dreams, and still at this age I can fly in my dreams.

But nightmares, that's a whole nother story. If you ever find yourself in a nightmare again, I find singing worship songs usually repels the enemy. That's if you can remember it in your dreams. But it's usually my first weapon.

Thanks for your sympathies with my friend, I think I really need to be drawing near to the Lord. And relying on Him to work out the situation. I have a peace, but yet some unrest. I will be praying again tonight for you.

I love it when I am around beautiful smells in the trees. The first one I wonder if it is honeysuckle.

I am curious to know what smells those are. Someone just identified for me something through Google lens, and I found out it was a weed that I will have to pull for my garden. Ughhh

It was right on time, because there was potential for being pulled away from this particular fellowship, via romantic interest.
