My sister and brother in law are living in Salt Lake City right now so we’ve been trying to hit all the Utah national parks while they’re living in state. They move this summer so this was the last hurrah.

Ah, so that's it.

That reminds me, on this list I found several weeks ago when I started considering northern states to move to, ranking all 50 states in terms of worst to best overall places to live in terms of quality of life, Healthcare costs, crime rates, etc., it was Utah that ranked #1. Louisiana was the worst.

Guess I just got lucky with the particular place in Shreveport, LA that I lived at several years ago, because I quite liked it there.

I suddenly found this picture on FB, and it brought back the good memory of my maternal grandparents having gone up to Magnolia (where I moved back to five years ago) with me to see the college that I was going to start at next fall. I was only 18, then. ^-^

Been taking a break from work the past few weeks as I transition to a new hospital (+urgent care) very soon. The place I just left was big, big corporate and my years there consisted of some of the worst experiences thus far in this field. But, having said that, there were still plenty of good days when I felt I made a difference as a veterinary nurse. This particular day was one of those days. ...This kiddo was brought in by local animal control to be euthanized. He was severely hypothermic and barely responsive, covered in fleas and maggots, and had a small superficial injury.

This photo was taken later in the day after we (myself and another nurse) decided to butt against the system and see if we could bring him back. It worked. He's a little groggy in the photo but was awake, no longer a kitten popsicle, eating, and beginning to walk again.

But, having said that, there were still plenty of good days when I felt I made a difference as a veterinary nurse.

I am sure that you did, Miss Spaulding. That is really cool to hear that that is what you do for a living, by the way.

If I may unload some more AI art here made for the characters of one of my stories. ^-^

I am very pleased with how the art turned out when I had the spontaneous idea to describe a more minor character, a former dwarven princess name who lost her kingdom named Madison Teal. I tried to add that she had a short and compact stature, being a dwarf and all. In some results it seemed to have turned out well. In others, it really didn't seem to understand the physical description at all. But still ->

Here was Madison as a little girl before her life got turned upside down,

And here she is when you meet her stranded back on Earth (an alien world to her, but where the playable heroes come from) in the present day,

And here are two fairy women who are minor characters, friends who basically tag-team running an inn and a tavern in an elven settlement. Lafeil Dragontear (the purple-haired one) is so flirtatious that even Dusk - the guy modelled after myself who is easily enamored with every lady character he meets in the game - is taken aback at her persistence, and Cristeene Lenora (the pink-haired one) is the more reserved and businesslike of the two ->

My cousin moved back to Chattanooga, TN - where I'm originally from - a few years ago and recently took this picture of it. I can't believe I don't recognize the specific part of the city that this picture is from, but still, it is a beautiful one. ^-^

This was a really cute image resulting from my attempts at AI art of the heroines we made for our game Arc Arath.

This a little girl named Helaynia Shadows, a minor character but she does have a special scene at one point in the story, where the Earthling heroes find her waiting outside of Sarah Winters' house, when they depart from her house after taking care of her injuries for a week in order to continue their journey. Helaynia is anxious to make sure that Sarah will be okay, and when the heroes ask her to look after Sarah in their absence, she confidently says that they can count on her, and gives them a play-salute like a knight.

When I tried to describe this scene as an AI prompt, this was the end result, and I wanted to share it.
