  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Are you better at French or English?

lol. ENGLISH! My french isn't very good at all! Sorry for the misleading title, just trying to be cute! :p I took it up to grade 11 when I lived in Canada but they never taught pronounciation very well, was half decent at writing but found the vocab got really hard! I've lost a lot of what I knew now with no further studies or practice....

Do you ever regret moving to America?

Regret, no. I miss people and things from back home but I don't regret moving here. It is one of the best decisions I ever made. I likely wouldn't be married now if I hadn't. My husband and I needed to live in the same area and get to know eachother on a daily basis to prepare for marriage fully. :)

Thanks. Ditto back atcha! :)

How long have you been married now? I remember you leaving the singles but I can't point out when it was actually... And how's married life?
Oh and do you speak languages other then english and french?
We got married on Nov. 13, 2010, so almost 16 months. However "legally" we have been married 18 months as we got legally with just our pastor and my in laws in September of 2010 so I could get medical benefits as we thought at the time that would be helpful... We don't count the legal one as our wedding date though and we did not start to live in any way as a married couple until we were married officially in front of our friends and family. It was very special. :)

Married life is great. I'm so appreciative of the husband I have and his willingness to work on himself and give of himself and it is a blessing to learn together with another person, as long as you are both willing to do the work. Not that much different than dating, except for me a lot more security because I know neither of us is gong anywhere. :)

I see you are married now too. Congrats!!

I USED to know some japanese, chinese, some of a native language named smoliak and some spanish because my elementary school teacher gave up teaching us french that she was supposed to teach us off a tape and just ended up teaching us spanish instead because she was from mexico. She also taught us a tiny bit of those other languages I mentioned a bit. I wish I had had an opportunity to continue with those languages, but they didnt start introducing languages other than french in highschool until my final years when it was too late for me to take them and because I moved a lot. So now all I know is some french and a few words in spanish, like I can count and stuff. :p

I speak 0 French, so I had to ask.

Did you ever go to West Edmonton Mall?

Nope I haven't. I lived near Edmonton in Red Deer for a year (right between Calgary Edmonton) but in that time only went Calgary once and Edmonton mostly just driving through it. Though my brother lived in Edmonton for years afterwards. One day, I will go though! :)
