I spent many years addicted to porn. It nearly destroyed me and my family. I didn't think I was hurting anyone until God delivered me from the addiction and opened my eyes. It was effecting every aspect of my life and I didn't even know it. I think porn is wrong, but it is Gods judgement that you have to worry about.

Amen. Thanks for sharing seekerofGod.

i think it is sad that some people think that sex is all there is to pleasure. Im not interested in sex. Im 19 and not married i am very happy as i am and knowing God. I dont think that you need to be having lustful thoughts to have pleasure. As a christian u feel conviction wen u r close to God if u do things that r wrong. Sin is only pleasurable for a time and seperate us from God which is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better.
I dont think there is any need to even date anyone til u know that u r ready and i only want to be with the man im going to marry whoever that will be.
My life revolves around God not sex thats why i dont have a need for these things.

AMEN! Praise God for your testimony. As you grow deeper in the faith and closer to God, you do lose interest in the things of this world, including sex.

Even the mention of it in conversation makes me

Real question - How does someone get addicted to porn? I will how someone can get addicted to something like that. I mean if you download porn on your computer and you want to stop all you have to do is turn your computer off or stay off the internet. Or don't watch any porn turn your tv off.

You're all

I have a girl friend we have been going out for a long time and guess what we have sex. It's not SICKS, and we are not sick. One day you will figure that out.

Even the mention of it in conversation makes me <insert gratuituous smilies here>

then why oh why do you keep a) reading this thread b) posting in it? Nothing personal Susan, but by taking the 'moral highground' in the fashion you do reminds me of primary school when all the boys and girls would say 'but boys/girls are icky!'. Susan, sexuality is necessary, like it or not. The Bible is full of sex, prostitution etc. I would love to see how you would suggest the human species continues to propagate, that is, biblically.

i think it is sad that some people think that sex is all there is to pleasure.

Well it is for pleasure. If it wasn't for pleasure it wouldn't feel good.

Im not interested in sex. Im 19 and not married i am very happy as i am and knowing God.

Well one day you will have sex and you will feel pleasure.

I dont think that you need to be having lustful thoughts to have pleasure.

Have you ever kissed a guy and injoyed it? Well that is also lustful.

As a christian u feel conviction wen u r close to God if u do things that r wrong

I accept that.

Sin is only pleasurable for a time and seperate us from God which is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better.

So can you hug and kiss and love god the way you would a man. no so it's not the same kind of pleasure.

I dont think there is any need to even date anyone til u know that u r ready and i only want to be with the man im going to marry whoever that will be.
Sorry but going on a date doesn't equal sex. It might with some people but most of the time it isn't. You are suppose to go out and meet people, and have fun.

My life revolves around God not sex thats why i dont have a need for these things.

I accept that it's your life.

Could you explain what aspects of your life were effected and what these effect were.

Nothing to critize you, I just can´t imagine it.

I personally believe that sex is to be within marriage and for procreation only.

..and if you inject heroin, all you have to do to stop is throw away the needles.

A phsychological addiction is no less potentially harmfull than a physcial addiction.

Have you ever kissed a guy and injoyed it? Well that is also lustful.

It's only lustfull if you kissed a person because you wanted to pursue some sort of sexual interaction with them. If you however, feel yourself falling in love with someone, and you want to kiss them, then I believe that is quite fine. Kissing doesn't have to lead further into something else.

I agree, kinda. I think sex should only be within marriage, and only as an expression of love within that marriage. If one person is just horny and wants sex but the other is sleeping or doesn't seem to be in the mood, then they should restrain themselves. Sex in marriage should be a joint willingness on both people, in the moment. If it's not, then it will inevitably dull out the passion, which forces people to look for other means to "spice up their sex life" with porn and such things. :)

Oh, and Happy Birthday Susan.

Drugs are different they mess with the brain. Porn doesn't.

If you kiss a girl or boy that you like and really injoy it you will end up getting excited if you kiss for a while or a few min. That would be called lust.
