  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

You can afford to provide a good life for 8 children?!? You must be pretty well off. I mean to pay for food and clothing alone much less a college education which is becoming almost necessary to "succeed" in life.

Well, I am Swedish, and we have free education and healthcare. So perhaps he would move here if he decided this :p

And I hope you don't sincerely believe that God will save us from overpopulating the earth. He's never saved us from any plagues or famines before? In fact the largest world disaster ever he personally caused.

We're not at #8 yet. Also, I don't think that you have to be well off to provide a good life for children. Food and clothing is not very expensive if you know where and when to buy (and ofcourse, hand-me-downs are always good). The wife and I are trying to help our kids with their education as much as possible so that they can either get scholarships or grants for college (and they can get loans for the rest). But the good life for the children really comes with the time you spend with them and not with fancy toys are expensive "camps"....

cheers

You can work and still have time to devote to 8 children? I failed to notice you live in Mexico I'm not sure what education is like there but what if they can't get scholarships? Are they guaranteed loans?

I am from Mexico but now live in Wisconsin. Should my kids fail to get scholarships they can get loans.

We don't have 8 kids yet. Number four due on mid September

I don't know about Wisconsin but I know Michigan has some program where you pay some relatively small price and they'll pay for any public in state school when your kid is ready to go to college you should see if there's something like that in Wisconsin.

There is, but right now we're trying to maximize contributions to our retirement before paying for their college....I know, sounds selfish but at least that way they won't have to take care of us for that long when we are older ;)

Naw, just pointing to some positive sides :p

Education is also free for Foreigners, But they are planning on changing that now. Coz their is some parasites that want to use our system because they dont want to take responsibility for there own lives .

We only have four (last one on the way). The wife and I don't think that's too many. Eight kids are not too many in my opinion, besides, I see many couples around me with only one or two kids...someone has to pay into Social Security when I retire

You're right, better if one can go to college w/out loans, but "you got to do what you got to do".

You got a well paying job ? :)

The wife does (she's a physician).

It is? My father told me i should start studying to become one (Father, Mother etc is physician and psychiatry), but im not really in the mood now. I prefer working around the world, feels like such a waste to be in the bench for almost 10 years to become something tht i really do not care for. I can start studying anytime so.
