Sarcasm. I am saying that if gays are wanting to marry for insurance, they're no better than the straights who marry for insurance. That's not a valid reason to justify changing the definition of marriage.
*COUGH*
No, I'm saying that is not a good reason or a good enough reason to change the definition of marriage. So, you have summed it up that they want marriage simply because of insurance and not because of any of the reasons you would want to be married?

Then why discriminate against the Christians who view homosexual marriage as wrong? Why discount their beliefs?
Except that murder is some areas is viewed as 'moral.'then morals technically wouldnt exist if that was true. There must be a universal morality in order for there to be justice, otherwise murder in one area would be moral while not moral in another.
The only time I've ever seen anything in the Bible about homosexuality, it is negative. Why would God call something in His image an abomination?
They can keep their belief but to use that belief to deny people of their rights is not acceptable and those that do so should be ashamed. So they view homosexual marriage as wrong that means that they should not do it then but stop using it against those that do not see it as wrong. Then why discriminate against the Christians who view homosexual marriage as wrong? Why discount their beliefs?
Correct. Universal morality does not exist. Everything is relative and subjective to the individual.then morals technically wouldnt exist if that was true. There must be a universal morality in order for there to be justice, otherwise murder in one area would be moral while not moral in another.

But again the bible is not relevant to anything having to do with human rights or the law, you can use said book to guide YOUR LIFE but that is where it ends as many of us do not want it anywhere near our lives.I have, both in the OT and NT and he condemns same-sex sex. There's no amount of twisting or trying to justify it than can change its meaning.
How does it "discount" your beliefs to say that you can't make laws that are based only upon them? Allowing same sex legal marriage doesn't mean that Fundamentalist Christians have to approve of it.Then why discriminate against the Christians who view homosexual marriage as wrong? Why discount their beliefs?
No one is asking to. Churches, synagogues, mosques, temples, etc. are all free to practice their own definition of marriage, and are not being forced to perform any marriage they deem against their beliefs. Then why discriminate against the Christians who view homosexual marriage as wrong? Why discount their beliefs?
No, I'm saying that is not a good reason or a good enough reason to change the definition of marriage.
If the court wants an expert opinion on a subject to help guide the legislation involved they do not go to lay people they go to those that actually have knowledge of the subject therefore the opinions of Christians mean nothing when it comes to the courts opinion. Then why discriminate against the Christians who view homosexual marriage as wrong? Why discount their beliefs?

Actually if you want to go the traditional route it is not based on love or kids but purely on economic points, how about we base marriage solely on the dowry system and parents can go back to deciding who their kids marry based on who can give them the most goats.
I really wanted him to get the blue one but he really ticked me off when he got the black one, I feel violated.LOL, we've been down this road a thousand times. No one's discriminating against you. Has ANYONE said you can't marry a guy? Anyone? Name one time? They haven't? Didn't think so. Guess what? You haven't been discriminated against.
Your argument is akin to saying your neighbor did you wrong because he bought a white Toyota and you wanted him to have a silver Prius.
