CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

And it still has a record of being factual more than Fox or other right wing news outlets.

Whatever reputation CNN had has now been completely ruined by the last two years of being Trump Bad central. They can never again be considered a legitimate news outlet. They will be forced to either ignore the thousands of false allegations they've made against Trump or they'll go broke broadcasting retractions.

I posted some negative rating statistics on Fox and articles about the network in another thread. Fox News is as about as reliable for accurate and honest news reporting as the National Enquirer is.

Left wing news has its problems but the only journalist on Fox that fact checks is Shephard Smith. The rest who tried wound up disproving themselves so they stopped. Lol

CNN (among others) will be a long time recovering...if at all. At least Christopher Buskirk of the NYT got it right after the Mueller report came out.

You mean Christopher Buskirk of the "American Greatness". Being an Opinion Writer does not make "of the NYT". American Greatness is a very conservative sided journal and one would expect him to side with Trump.

Maybe you can supply the thousands of false allegations made against trump, as noted above? Interesting that legitimate news sources will print retractions or correct false information...why is that trump and the WH skew it with the playbook, instead of admitting "mistakes"?
