Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

godzman, sarcasm doesn't prove a point,it just draws more attention to you, and not always in a positive way. I find it funny how so many evolutionists have read their bible, know some of philisophy and theology and try hard to understand where creationists come from, but there is little reciprocity.

thats rocks similar to our bones, so tecknickly our bones are not rocks
technically, yes they are. they are made of minerals. minerals form rocks. when bones are fossilized, "harder" minerals replace "softer" ones. Again, do some research as well as try to argue. And as someone pointed out in my thread, are you sure there weren't any rocks in the dust or mud that your god used?

Do why is there still dust? The argument is the same as the opening post.

Genesis 2 says Adam (first man) was made from dust. So why is there still dust? Answer that and you know why, although humans and apes share a common ancestry, there are still apes.

yes but still if evelution is still in process why dont we see any missing links
You meain, why don't we see links? After all, we can't see "missing" links if they are missing, can we? Darwin addressed this in Origin. Haven't you read it?

1. The intermediate forms die out because they can't compete with the later forms. Thus we get the appearance of "missing" links.

2. We do see links. Both in living organisms and in th fossil record. Ever hear of ring species? Links connecting two separate species. In the fossil record we have a series of transitional individuals linking A. afranensis (not human) to H. sapiens (us and human). Would you like to see a partial list of these fossils I've put together?

half man half monkey
Well, as Lucaspa said, we wouldn't see that today, according to evolutionary teaching, but we have LOTS of those type hominids in the fossil record. These show a clear transitional process from early ape-like ancestors to h. Sapiens. Some of these do, indeed, have about half of their features being those which we only see in apes today and half which we only see in Man today.

Check out the recent issue of Scientific American covering the current state of the human evolution findings. It provides explanations of hominids which have a very striking mix of ape and human traits, exactly as evolution would expect to find. They are finding more all the time.
