I agree that a polygamous union should be a decision by the whole group, but I don't see why pleasure shouldn't be a factor. If a couple meet another person whose company in their lives and their beds would be "fun" and rewarding -- why not? I voted for the second option. I believe polygamy can be a good thing if there are pragmatic reasons to engage in it, whereas I consider it to be immoral to be polygamous just for fun. I kinda like the Egyptian system where legally marrying an additional wife requires the consent of all the current wives.
