How do you view yourself as being saved?

I see that some people view being as saved is they are guaranteed a place in heaven before judgement. They can no longer can fall out of favour with God. I don't see how this is.

I am in a belief that nothing is written in permanent ink in the book of life until after Judgement Day.

I wanted to add, I am not judging Christians as I take sides with the Bible rather than the wisdoms of man. I am wanting to understand what Christians expect or desire from God.

I was always under the impression the decision was God's, not mine. But i hope so...

By or thru the Grace of God..I'm saved by my FAITH in Jesus Christ as MY Lord and Savior..!

(( Whew ...that kinda makes me sound like a ""KJ Bible Believin Southern Baptist Fundie"..but it's probably the only thing they DO have right..))

The point is GOD is the author and finisher of OUR faith...So it's him that gets the ball rollin so to speak on our faith in him...!

Remember God sent his son....His son gave his life....One day in the stream of life you confront that about him...and it should strike a cord in your heart....From then on you "believe" that Jesus actually did all that FOR you...Well God started that process in motion by sending his son...!

Once you "FAITH" that is true..nothing can ever change you mind on it...period...! So a person who really "faiths" that...can't ever fall OUT of faith in God..or his son....

Those that say "well I used to believe it but now I don't..are just mouthing words..

They prove with ther own lips they never really believed in Jesus in the first place...!

Because God starts our faith and finishes our faith in him...! So those that DO Faith him are gauranteed a place in heaven because they have THAT promise of his finishing their faith..and as long as THEY keep that faith in him..they will make it..because God truely was the one that started it all...AND the truth is they really do believe it....Jesus really did come for them and they FAITH that he did it all for them..!

At that personal level FAITH can't be shaken down by any outside forces..!

Being saved I view myself as a child of God. A friend of God. The bride of Christ.  A saint.  A joint heir.  I have access to everything that is His. 

I must walk in righteousness and holiness to walk in all His blessings.  Yes, I believe I pretty much have a place in heaven, but I serve Him because I love Him.  Not because of what He may or may not do for me.

It is one thing to be saved, it is another to have the ASSURANCE of salvation.
