Poll: Do you believe in Creation or Evolution (or both)?

But as all can see, the world is devolving.

I'm guessing that no-one's replied to that, as it's still being quoted. :)

Devolution is not possible except in politics, and even there it's pretty hard. If an organism loses it's advantage, the other organisms with it take over. I love the reply features. When I last came here, it was the plain ol' text box. :D

Are you an evolutionist or a creationist (or both)?
I'm a creationist, and [would have] voted 'other'.

Specifically, I'm an embedded-age creationist, as was Peter:

2 Peter 3:3 ¶ Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2 Peter 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
2 Peter 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

(Note Peter's prophecy of a rise of uniformitarianism in the last days, which will be the doctrine of choice among the scoffers.)

Very good, AVET. You brought back an eight year old Closed Poll. Buy yourself a cigar... then please get a new hobby.

Except for the original creation, 6,000 to 10,000 years ago I am a radical evolutionist. After the Flood there were a limited number of creatures, including 8 people who emerged from that big barge on top of Ararat. This was only about 2,000 years after the original creation and for that limited population to have produced all the diversity around us in such a short space of time is about as radical as any theory of evolution I have seen.

So....both....and I'm pretty extreme on both counts.

Grace and peace,
Mark

I accept evolution as a reasonable explanation for observation and evidence.
And I think that the universe was not "created" so much as it was "conceived" as a baby is conceived. While there may be no evidence for that belief, there is at least no evidence against it.
