Not me. I am a huge pokemon fan. I don't know where the idea of it being satanic came from. People can do a lot worse than like pokemon.

Anyways in answer to the first post, yup i love playing the games. Pokemon Sapphire is awesome and i love to restart it as soon as i finish it.
Nice to talk to another pokemon fan. ;)

My game boy is too old to get Sapphire or Ruby. :( I have a Game Boy color.. just a regular one. I really want a game boy advanced. Then I can play the old Pokemon games plus the new ones. I have Yellow, Red, Blue, Crystal, and Silver. Pokemon Sapphire and Ruby look great, but I have no money to get a Game Boy Avanced concle. :(

(Yes I'm 18 and I still love Pokemon. :) ;) )

The Nintendo DS is coming, why not wait a while and pick that up instead?

A Pokemon game is bound to be released on it, and if it not, it plays GBA games. ;)

I don't think Poke'mon is evil. I think people should grow out of it, I mean the least you can do is get rid of Poke'Mon and play Final Fantasy. I'm not a big fan, I was a while ago, but I think I've grown out of it. I don't play Final Fantasy either, but one, some reason it doesn't idk, spark any fun in me, plus I have an Xbox, not PS2. Poke'Mon was fun for a while, then it kinda got to the point where it was easy. I beat the game, it didn't feel like anything happened. I just talked to this guy, he gives a certificate. Bragging right? Nope, not any more, once you got em all' you got em all. Once you beat the game, no cool stuff, I just thought it was fun and then disappointing. I still play it from time to time, Red Yellow and Blue, but usually just on long car trips when I forget hookups for the LCD screens, but I get bored again and set it down to stare out the window. IDK, it was a okay game, just not for me, and because it's on gameboy, i've kinda grown out of it. I play consoles, and since I drive the car most of the time I can't play in the car. Plus, I can bring the console in the car and plug it in. I think Final Fantasy is much more mature game for older audiences. Anyway, most of this was rubbish.

I have Red, Blue, and Gold cartridges. I used to play Red and Blue a lot when they came out (1998 seems like such a long time ago), and then I sort of grew out of it (I'd actually played Final Fantasy before I'd played Pokémon, so I don't think complexity really mattered; of course, it was Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest, so actually it wasn't very complex ;) ). A couple years ago (I was 16) for some odd reason I felt nostalgic and got ahold of Gold, and I ended up playing that a lot. It also helped that I found a way around having to sit and stare at a Game Boy or computer screen for long periods of time. I played it on the Dreamcast, because I could. The only downside is that there's no way to trade or engage in two-player battles...at least, I don't think there was. There definitely wasn't a Game Shark or Game Genie option for the DC except through the disc menu (and it hardly worked most of the time anyway), so that didn't help much either.

I still prize my Level 255 Mewtwo that I've got on my Red cartridge. It's really fun to challenge someone who doesn't know I have one that unearthly strong, go into battle and see all the emotion drain from their face. Of course, two Level 255's duking it out is pretty fun also.

Hmmmm... what a shame, I misplaced my link to an article explaining why Pokemon is Satanic... and then there was another, excellent article rebutting the first one. In his quest to prove a point, the author of the first one ended up looking rather foolish... especially to anyone who knows anything about Pokemon. (Which means... everyone and their little sister? ;)) Talk about a world-class twisting of words.

I managed to get hooked on Pokemon Ruby for a while... I'm not especially enamored of the TV shows and the 9 million commercial plugs, but the gameplay itself I liked. And I also had a lot of fun one-upping my stepbros on Pokemon Snap. :D
