The main Pokemon games are RPG where you battle wild Pokemon and trainers while also developing strategies on how to beat them and trying to level up your Pokemon and trying to catch 'em all. Then there's the spin-offs where some of it is basically battle arenas where you can choose from a variety of Pokemon to battle against with a friend and it's more competitive but it's different from the main games.

And there is the trading card game as well.

I'm a Pokemon Trainer (I'm actually very talented), I've played almost every Pokemon game out there except for Pokemon Go. I actually hate Pokemon Go because its for phones and I HATE talking on the phone! I'm a quiet person and I'm proud of it! People who talk too much are SO ANNOYING!

I play Go, but it's the only one of the games I have played. I have watched some of the shows.

I get the not liking talking on the phone either, but I do text and email from my phone and play apps. I actually talk very little on my phone. Fortunately, playing Go doesn't require any talking (gloating aside )

It's really fun. I'm enjoying it, but I also have been playing other games besides Pokemon.

Been thinking about giving pokemon a try, finally. Dont which one to choose xy or asor. Since the prices stay the same I will probably wait until sun and moon comes out and make a decision. Btw which one do you prefer and why?

I played Pokemon Pearl on the original DS back in 2007. It was the first Pokemon game I ever played, and it was incredibly fun! I don't have a smartphone, so no Pokemon Go for me, but I do miss it.

I've been playing Go since release. Still fun. I'm at work and I've got it running on my phone right now. Looking forward to the Halloween event.

I knew very little about Pokemon before Go. I watched S1 of Indigo League and now watching XY.

I'm still kinda playing. My son just got his smartphone last week, so I took him to an area with lots of stops and we walked around a bit together yesterday.

I've played the handhelds from Crystal to Y, I want to get Moon (was going to start with Litten, but going with Rowlet since I like Decidueye better than Incineroar), played all the N64 games and I think all the GameCube ones, and I love being Metwo in Smash Bros Melee and Lucario in Brawl.

So yeah, I'm a Pokemaniac. . Haven't played Pokemon Go though. XD

I have a 3DS on the way. Merry Christmas to me lol. I don't know how useful it will be to me, but it'll be an activity to do through the winter.

I also ordered Mario Kart 7, Monster Hunter 4, and Pokemon Moon. I look forward to Pokemon as I haven't played a Pokemon game since Pearl. Do they still have Turtwigs? That was my favorite.
