You can get Looney Tunes on DVD now. That's what we will end up doing - then when we have kids, we will have so many DVDs (we have over 400 total now) that he/she will never watch regular TV.

Here's another questionable duet - Heckle & Jeckle.

Ooooohhhhh. Woody Woodpecker? Or, was he mentioned before? The name says it all, you know.
Oooh, the name DOES say it all! :D

What about Rocky & Bullwinkle?!

Remember this bit -- "Hey Rocky, wanna see me pull a rabbit out of my hat? Nothing up my sleeve." and then he pulls a lion out.

Bullwinkle was always one of my favorites because of the fictional location they were from was "Frostbite Falls, MN"

Also not many people know this but the voice of Rocky the squirrel was provided by the same person who did Woody Woodpecker's Walter Lantz's wife June.

Just to add a bit of sanity to this whole Dobson vs. Spongebob thing that began all the fun we have been having here, I would like to make sure everyone is aware that this all started by the media twisting and distorting Dobson's statements, which should not surprise anyone.

Dobson's focus was not on Spongebob or any other cartoon character, his statements were about a video that will be distributed to public and private elementary schools across the nation, for use on the proposed "We Are Family Day" on March 11. The video features cartoon characters such as Spongebob, Barney, the Muppets, Dora the Explorer, Bob the Builder, Winnie the Pooh, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Jimmy Neutron and Big Bird.

Dobson's comments were not about SpongeBob or Big Bird or any of the other cartoon characters, but about the way in which they are being hijacked to promote an agenda of forcing homosexual propaganda on our children. The "We Are Family Foundation" (the organization that sponsored the video) was offering a variety of explicitly pro-homosexual materials on its Web site, until this flap occurred anyway. Since the media buzz, they have removed this propaganda.

Sorry to be so pointed in Pointless Posts. Now back to our regularly scheduled pointlessness. ;)

Thanks for the clarification. I am not a big Dobson fan, but I hate it when the press distorts anything someone says to promote anger and hostility on the Christian community.

The Christian news serives are getting it all wrong, too, then! However, the idea of any Christian groups saying these things against cartoons is still very funny!

I'm not a fan of Dobson, either. I agree it is sad the media and others have to bend things to suit their agendas, which is certainly a terrible thing to do, even to James Dobson and others like him. Lies are just simply lies, and they do their damage.

We had the City remove our City tree in the front yard because it drops messy, syrupy berries all over the sidewalk, driveway, and lawn. It has ruined our lawn. They just removed it yesterday, and I'm so happy that thing is gone - in spite of the fact I'm a dyed-in-the-wool tree hugger.

Well, most trees I appreciate, just not THAT one. I was afraid someone would slip on the City sidewalk and sue us!!

Awhile ago, we had installed a mailbox on the curb so the mailmen wouldn't have to worry about our dogs (well, they don't have to, but the dogs bark and the mailmen get scared. . .of course).

Then, about two days later, there is some big crane digging a huge hole in the grass in front of the street. I asked my mom, "Were where they when we were installing this mailbox?" I asked Briana if she knew what they were doing. We had no idea, but Briana came to me and siad, "it is the cities right to dig holes."

Yep, the city can dig a hole in any part of any yard if they so wish!

Oh, and we are breaking the law! We've had a puddle in our yard for over 24 hours! Yes, there is seriously a law on the books that in Lake Charles, it is illegal to have a puddle in your yard for over 24 hours. . .everybody in Lake Charles has broken this law. . .it's been one of those weeks where it is impossible to NOT break this law. . .it's been raining since Sunday night. . .

We had one pastor a few years ago.... he was complaining that almost every sermon he would give, and someone would call him up, or come to see him in his office - proceeding to chew him out that he was "preaching about them personally" in front of the whole congregation! He wasn't, but apparently he had a knack for hitting on a few sore spots with people a lot of the time. Perhaps they had a guilty conscience? :(

Now Bridget! Surely you know this passage.
Ro 2:12 All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.

Looks to me like you are still in big trouble ^_^

Sorry Bridget. I just couldn't resist.
