[Celtic Camel]

I know this isn't the poetry forum, but just wanted to share a few of my latest writings with someone...they're not much good, but I've only started writing again recently... hope you don't mind...


Distant shores I cannot see
Where Your voice is calling me
I choose to run; here I'll stay
Still I find You won't turn away
My tears & heart I try to hide
Yet You whisper "I'm by your side"
The caressing winds - I bow my knee
In Your love, Lord, forgive me.

The trees - all are twisted
Touched by invisible forces
And yet perfected as they grow
The knots of character & time
Give definition to the beauty
Individually crafted by the Creator.

Ugliness
I saw the ugly side of me again today
Even the mirror tried to turn away
Cruel words I spoke, out of hurt & pride
The pain of my heart wouldn't stay inside
Manipulation rose - spat venomous words
Anger chimed in - it's voice could be heard
Self-pity came next - pathetic, bitter tears
Faith & love had been lost to my insecure fears
This creature lurks within - I'm ashamed to admit
Still it's more part of me, than I am of it.​

Those are well written ... and what makes them so good and so heartwrenching is that I can feel how you feel when I read them. You've captured your emotion so beautifully in those words. Beautiful but terribly, terribly sad. But ... I can empathise with every word.

Keep on writing. You've got a gift, and you should use it. Thank you so much for sharing, and I encourage you to share more!!
