CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No, I mean science can take a hike.
I have Boolean standards I use to reconcile science with Scripture.
My Boolean Standards:
If the Bible says it, but Science disagrees: go with the Bible.
If the Bible doesn't say it, but Science does: go with Science.
The Pluto issue is a rare exception, where I say SCIENCE CAN TAKE A HIKE and mean it sans miracles, since I believe Pluto got demoted by a rigged vote.

In a sense, that is correct.
I used to be a serious chessplayer.
The opening moves are all nice and neatly categorized in what is called the Encylopedia of Chess Openings.
Eliminating the thinking factor for the first ten moves or so of the game.
So in that sense, the thinking is done for me.

I don't share your fascination with Pluto's aesthetics -- that's all.
It's ugly, appears [biologically] lifeless, has craters and whatnot.
What tickles a guy like me pink is finding out things like how the books of the Old Testament are laid out in perfect balance.
17 books of history ... 5 books of poetry ... 17 books of prophecy.
Broken down further in even more amazing balance.
17 books of history = 5 books of Moses + 12 books of Israel in the Promised Land.
17 books of prophecy = 5 major books of prophecy + 12 minor prophets.
To each his own ... eh?
