  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Since learning how to pluck my "I's"--I want--I need--I can, repenting and devoting myself to God, my life has changed dramatically. There are things that have happened that I want to share with others. I NEVER ask for anything nor usually tell others of the things I need. I don't even PRAY to God for what I need anymore.
ALMOST EVERYTHING in my house has been given to me--as I need it. I can count the things that I have bought, over the past three years, on my fingers. I want to give some examples of what I'm talking about.
My vacuum cleaner blew up--I thought to myself that I needed to buy one--before I could buy one, a lady I worked for bought a new one and gave me her old one(not very old)--I never mentioned to her that I needed one.
I needed a chest of drawers--my neighbor gave me one--I didn't ask(It's the second chest of drawers I've been given)
I needed a bed for the guest room--given to me without me mentioning needing one--Thank You Yeshua
I needed a couch and chair--got it--didn't ask anyone
I wanted the internet--my son moved back home, got the internet, also pays my utilities and buys the groceries--I didn't ask God--just received and gave thanks for the blessing of having my son back PLUS many bills paid (including T.P.,wash powder, and paper towels)
I volunteered at a clothing closet--they gave me a winter wardrobe complete with 2 pr. of boots(brand new) and a coat(new)
I decided that the fence rows around my apartment looked awful--so I cleaned them out--my Landlord bought me a storm door for the front of my apartment---I had wanted one.
In the fall I had thought that it would be nice to have some mums--I chose not to buy any--My daughter-in-law gave me three huge baskets of yellow mums(her office had given them to her)-I gave thanks and gave one to my neighbor (yellow is my favorite mum color)
I like coffee--A lady I work for had bought a Kureg and used it once--she didn't like it--gave it to me(it brews wonderful individual cups) I thanked God (my other coffee maker was also given to me, microwave too)
I wanted a plaque of the Ten Commandments and was going to buy one--given to me.
My work shoes broke down and the side blew out--was going to buy some--a pair was given to me.
My neighbor needed money--I gave it to her--My income increased greatly

These kind of things have happened constantly for the past three years. When I lived in a shelter, EVERYTHING I would need to set up house (dishes, curtains, clothes, bedding, etc) was given through donations to the point of excess--I gave a lot to other women who would also need them.
It's now to the point that I had been thinking that I needed to eat more vegetables and fruit. For some reason my neighbor has started sending me meals--with vegetables. She also bought a juicer. I make her homemade juice and reap the rewards. Recently I've been given throw pillows for my couch, new curtains, a huge area rug for the living room, a bag of clothes, some groceries that someone didn't like and a coupon for a free massage.(my shoulders kill me) There are so many more things that I can't even think of at the moment. A couple of days ago I was given a keychain of a blue dragonfly--I used to collect dragonflies. I'm now to the point of excess again and am going to go back through my closet and send things out.
Thank you Y'shua for the many, many blessings.
AMEN
