i've never felt so alone in my life. i'm a christian, i Love God, i'm filled with the holy Spirit, yet i feel a huge cloak of sadness thrown over me. pls i need a word of encouragement. this is the only place i can express myself, Lord pls fill my heart with hope

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Abraham, Job, Elijah, Jonah, David and many more suffered depression so don't be down about being depressed and being a believer. I am praying the Lord lifts your spirit and provides your needs in His mighty way. I will keep you in my prayers today. Stay strong adunni

im sorry you are feeling depressed. remember god is with you where ever you go so you are never truly alone(gen. 28:15a). praying god will bring some good christian friends into your life and fill your heart with hope. (((( hugs ))))

I understand completely and know how awful depression can be. This will pass and things will get brighter hang in there. You're in my prayers

thanks for all your prayers, you have been such a blessing to me, reading those words of encouragement makes me feel better, though i'm still a bit low but i know God's word says that joy cometh in the morning.... may the Lord bless you all

Perhaps try to meet local people at a group or something, or meet new people through a friend or friends you already have? Sometimes a couple of phonecalls or Facebook messages are all it takes to kick start your social life again
