uhhhh, ..."that is why a man leaves his father and mother and CLEAVES unto his wife and the two become one flesh." The text says nothing about Eve's virginal status at the fall. In fact, it seems to suggest that they "became one flesh" right away. You cannot convince me that as these two were "naked and not ashamed" that they was not an immediate sexual attraction that was acted upon immediately.
As for the early church fathers, some of them said some pretty nutty things and by the time we get to the allegorists, they were saying very nutty things.
Interesting. Never heard of Eve's virginity mentioned in any discussion and this is after several years in seminary and then a handful in post-grad.
