CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I just logged on, and am new to this website. This is great to find a christian site as there are so many multitudes of---um---imteresting things on the web.
To give you an idea of who I am; my kids are almost grown, and I wanted to do something as a career, and so lately I've begun training for phlebotomy [drawing blood]. Woohoo! Many people I've talked to have said, "Oh, yucky!" I laugh and think it's great. Nice to meet you all; we'll talk soon!

It's good to have you here, feel free to PM me anytime and we can talk about Jesus Christ and his father and I can try to answer some of your questions, and you can try and answer some of my questions, I sometimes have my doubts but I also try to tell myself that he was the only one who died on a cross for our sins and it gets me to thinking, if you have AIM I'd love to chat with you, maybe become buddies, friends, pals, etc etc.
I've been looking for a forum like this for a long time and I'm really glad that I found one, it's awesome and I really think the logo is cool.
I'm always looking for new friends so if you want to chat PM me and I'll give you my msn/AIM screename.

Hi everyone!!! I am new here. I have been a christian since I was a teen-ager, but am just in the past few months, starting to walk with the Lord.I will tell you a little about my self. I am 42, sahw to Steve and mom to Jeremiah 22. Grandma to Lil' Miss Kaley.
I have several health issues, so I may whine a bit. Please forgive me if I do. I have diabetes, bipolar disorder, and failed back surgery for which I am on disability, and I have Hepatitis C. I will soon be going on treatment for the hep. The treatment is worse than the disease most of the time, and this is my second time on treatment. There is no cure for Hep C at this time, but we are hoping and praying that there will be one soon. I got the Hep C from a blood transfusion following surgery in 1985, if anyone wants to know how I got it.
I hope to meet a lot of good friends here and have some good fellowship with you all.

well I've been looking around on these forums for awhile now....matter of fact I joined awhile back and forgot my username so I just decided to re-joined.....Im not going to say that Im a new Christian, i just recently got really serious about my relgion and growing closer with God.....I wasnt really open to talking about it because I didnt know much....But Ive seen alot of people posting that I would like to ask some questions, because Im curious....So people just be looking out for a PM from me
