Hi everyone

Please can I ask for some prayer? I'm just under 13wks preg and i had some very light pink spotting last night, that has turned to brown today. It's really not much but enough to make me a bit anxious.

I'm not due to fly home until Thursday so i'm still in texas which is also contributing to the nerves as i'm not in my normal environment.

Please pray that the spotting will stop and that all is well. I've read a few people have had this, so i'm just hoping it's old blood and doesn't mean anything.

Not to pry, but have you had sex lately? Pregnant cervixes are very tender and apt to bleeding.

I bled once when I was pregnant and it turned out I had a yeast infection.

Well, I hope this is an encouragement for you.... this is my 4th pregnancy... and I spotted with ALL of them. With my second baby it turned bright red and moderately covered the panty liner I was wearing. It is very normal to lightly spot. Esp. after you have sex... or just because. I brought up this concern with this pregnancy with my OB at about your gestation, and when he did the pelvic exam he stated "well, I know why now.... I barely touched your cervix with the swab and it started bleeding"... he checked me out anyways with a vaginal ultrasound to make sure it was still a viable pregnancy... and it was... when you get pregnant your blood flow increases and espially around your cervix and this might explain why some women spot or bleed. Now, I had a miscarriage when I was 16 at 6 weeks (it was a gift of God really.... did NOT need a baby at that time)... and the symptoms I experienced were a full blown very heavy and painful period.. or atleast that's what it felt like. If you start cramping a lot and the spotting turns heavier and heavier, then you have more cause for concern. When I bled with my second the doctor suggested I stay on bed rest until it stopped for 24 hours... however they also said that "if it's a miscarriage, there is nothing you can do about it". Also, some cramping while your uterous is growing is also normal... but shouldn't feel like a period with heavy bleeding. Hope that helps. If nothing else, see if you can get in early to see your doc who can ease your concerns and check you with an ultrasound to make sure there's still a heart beat. Hope this helps

Had sex on Saturday and first spotting started Monday night, it calmed down on tues but today (Thurs 4am) i had red spotting. Could this all be related do you think?

I need to fly home today and i don't know whether just to get myself home then get checked or to get checked before??

I bled in all 3 of my pregnancies, 2 resulted in perfect healthy babies, 1 miscarriage. It is totally normal but very scary! It could definately be related to the sex. Just keep an eye on it, if it continues and gets worse (if the bleeding just doesn't slow down at all, gets worse and more red - not stopping then a bit more spotting a few days later) then I'd be off to the doctor quick smart... I really hope everything is ok with your baby jillymac...

I'm home now and went to see my GP, he's pretty sure it's a urine infection and he didn't seem concerned over the spotting, altho he recommended i visit A&E if anything happens over the weekend. So i may or may not need antibiotics.
