  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey People. I have a friend called Mel. She has had so many problems in life recently. She has gone through domestic abuse, she has gone throughs sexual abuse and through it all she remained close to God. However, now she has decided that she is no longer a Christian, that she has sinned too much. She tells me she no longer reads her bible and that she no longer knows how to pray. She tells me that she no longer knows who God is. Worst of all though, she has decided that she just wants to end it all and she has started to cut herself. Mel, really needs help and she really needs the love of Jeus to be made real to her.

PLease, please, please remember her in prayer.

God Bless

Donald...

I will pray for her....that is a situation dear to my own heart. In the meantime, will you tell her : It's okay to be wondering who God is. He wants us to do that! And tell to keep wondering. also, tell her that even though she doesn't want to read her bible or pray, that God will not go anywhere and will be there for her when she comes back. It's important that she knows that: God never moves. It is us who do that.
We can say that He isn't, but He STILL IS!
I will pray not only for her, but that God will bless your efforts in her life....thanks for sharing with us.
