  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I need prayer for several things....same topic, however.

Long story short, a cyber friend and I have had a major falling out....and I feel very badly. We were friends for 4 years thru im and email and occassional phone calls. She inadvertantly sent an email to a list we were both on instead of the addressee, and it was unflattering toward me, to say the least. I tried to forgive and forget...but I was feeling pretty betrayed and untrusting, and in trying to explain my feelings, angered her and caused her to think I was unforgiving and rubbing her nose into it so to speak. Unfortunately, I finally just told her everything I had been feeling, and it was not in a very kind manner. I have apologized, and she accepted the apology, but now wishes for no correspondence between us. I feel very sad over my part in this whole thing, but I also feel that she is missing the bigger issue...and avoiding it by trashing our friendship. :( :(

My prayer requests are this.

That God would heal our friendship and our hearts.

That God would deal with each of us regarding the issues that led to this whole fiasco.

That we would BOTH be able to forgive and move past this.

That I could stop mourning the loss of this friendship.

Thank you.

Blessings,
Tammy

I will pray for you. I know how hard it hurts to lose a friendship. About a year ago, I fell in love with my best friend and I told him...although he did not feel the same, we continued the friendship. One night things between us changed and the friendship ended, he ended it and it broke my heart because I love him and i am still mourning that loss, it's very difficult when you become attached to someone and they don't feel the same attachment. I do pray for the mending of your friendship. Friendships are very important in life and very valuable...so I'll pray for you and you can pray for my broken heart, then we'll all be better! If you ever need to talk, I am here for you!

my best friend for years did not like my then fiance-now husband-so we drifted apart. I didn t even invite her to my wedding. I have heard from her maybe three times since and not in many years. Sometimes you just grow in seperate ways. It s sad but there is not a whole lot you can do about it. I will pray for you though

God Bless You Tammy.
Father God in Heaven, I praise Your blessed Name. Father, I lift Tammy up to you. I ask you to heal the friendship she has lost. God, give them the gift of friendship that they would realize all that is included in being friends. That they would learn to overlook eachother's frailties and flaws. And that they would learn how to forgive, not carrying the burden of unforgiveness. I pray they would be reunited and that You would dash any efforts of the evil one
to put a rift between these two friends. Yes, Lord, put forgiveness into their hearts abounding. Hallielujah! Hallielujah! Hallielujah! Praise You.
Heal Tammy's heart of grief. Give her the strenghth to carry
on regardless of the outcome. Lift her up to a place of peace and understanding. That she will understand You and Your will and the reason's for any loss in her life.
Hallielujah! Hallielujah! Hallielujah!
Thank You, Father! I Praise Your Holy Name.
Amem!

>>avoiding it by trashing our friendship

Are you both going to heaven? If you are then your going to have to get this worked out before you can get into heaven.

Of course everyone has to decide for themselves if they want to abide in God's love or not. If they want to walk with Him. But only those who actually abide in His love are going to make it to Heaven.

Of course this means we are going to have to forgive others along the way. God does a work in our life to help us. But of course just like it is better to stay healthy, then to get sick and then healed, it is better to control our toungue and not say or do anything we have to repent of. Once words have been spoken, all the armys in the world can not bring them back again. But God can redeem anything and ultimatly bring good out of it. Just as He can bring good out of this situation, if you let Him. Thanks, JohnR7
