Please pray for my understanding of warnings in Scripture

  1. Isaiah 55:6-7

    Isaiah 55:6-7 new member

In the past I believed in "Once Saved Always Saved" but now I am wondering about apparent warnings about losing salvation. My prayer request is that God would reveal to me His truth regarding the promises of eternal security and also the apparent warnings about loss of salvation, and if there is any danger in coming close to losing my salvation if I fail to follow God faithfully.

Recently God has delivered me from an addiction. However since there have been seasons in my life where I have been trapped in an addiction to sin, I am wondering if during these times I would be destined for hell if my life on earth would be done and I would have to stand before God. In Matthew 25:48-51, the servant of the Lord is described. In this passage Jesus says that if His servant starts to get drunk and no longer is ready for His return, that he will be assigned a place with the hypocrites and end up going to hell.

The obvious warning about falling away in Hebrews 6 and 10 is that if someone turns his back on following the Christian faith, that they will end up lost. A Christian author named Joshua Harris is known for having walked away from Christianity recently.

What my concern is for myself is even though I have never renounced Christianity, that if I relapse and get caught in an addiction to sin, that I might be cast out with the workers of iniquity. Matthew 7:21-23 is the well known passage where people who think they knew Jesus are cast out as workers of iniquity and Jesus says He never knew them. Psalm 125:5 says that those who turn to crooked ways will be banished with the "workers of iniquity". In Job 31, Job says that he made a covenant with his eyes and that his motivation to keep the covenant is that ruin will come to the wicked and disaster will come to the "workers of iniquity". (I think that a number of modern translations may use a different word than iniquity.)

In addition I had submitted a prayer request in the past where I was desperate and asked for the chastening of the Lord and an encounter with the terror of the Lord. The encounter with the Lord was fulfilled through a psychiatric hospitalization where I had a scary dream where I stood before the presence of the throne of God and was cast out before His presence.

Based on the above warnings and the encounter with the terror of the Lord, it is easy to conclude that if I am trapped in an addiction to sin, where this addiction is continuing week after week or sometimes daily, that I could be very well cast out from Jesus' presence with the workers of iniquity if there is ongoing sin in my life.

God has recently rescued me from the addiction and I am walking in consistent victory and freedom now, but because it is possible to relapse and get caught again, this question is still a concern to me. I know that if people pray for God to reveal His wisdom on this issue, that God is able to clearly reveal to me if my salvation is permanent, or if there is a possibility of being cast out when I stand before God's judgment throne.

Also I am seriously considering changing my username to Isaiah 55:6-7 since I do not really believe in "Once Saved Always Saved" anymore.

Father, I pray you would give this one the assurance from Your Word that once You truly save us You hold on to us, and that we can't lose our salvation seeing You are the one that keeps us saved. John 10:27-29; 1 John 5:12. Since You give us eternal life at salvation, it continues for eternity. Amen.

Always know.. fear is not of God. John 3 16 speaks for it self. Rom 10 9-10 do you believe those? Then your His. Those verses.. two things.. some Jewish people that were saved would sin and then try to go back and offer a sacrifice for that sins. There is NO MORE sacrifice for that sin. Christ can not die again. And to think like that puts what Christ did to open shame. As I understand it.

Then there are those that have only tasted of Him. They then turn around and leave Him. Why will they come back? They only tasted and didn't like it. Its NOT talking about those that are saved. Your sealed unto the day of redemption and your in Christs hands and His hands are in the Fathers hands. He is IN YOU. No matter what you did or do.. He will never leave you. This is not a "sin for free" God forbid. Right now you know you don't want to sin. That right there is not YOU..its HIM IN YOU! Yet.. there is anther part of you that wants to sin. We all have this.. the flesh. It has not been changed yet..

This is not once saved always saved nor is it you can lose your salvation. I don't touch that play with that. Those thoughts for me are not of God. See I go by what HE said. And I believe Jesus came in the flesh died for the worlds sin and was buried and rose the 3rd day and is the only way to the Father. <--this the enemy can not say.. only those that are of Him. The enemy.. there is NO NONE ..no truth in him.

So rejoice.. HE died.. for you.. when He rose you rose.. the past.. put it back in the grave and go forward and if you sin.. you go to Him.. repent.. and do a 180 and try not to sin again. But KNOW that ..SIN... is in this world. You are not of this world any more and that SIN? Has no right to control you.. just keep your mind on Him.. think of all the great things He has done.. and done for you. He is FOR YOU NEVER against you. Go for.. ask Him what He sees when He sees you.. You are IN HIM! And you are righteous before the Father because you believe in Jesus... God is faithful to what Christ did.. not what man does.

    Isaiah 57:1-4
    The righteous perish,
    and no one takes it to heart;
    the devout are taken away,
    and no one understands
that the righteous are taken away
    to be spared from evil.
    Those who walk uprightly
    enter into peace;
they find rest as they lie in death.

“But you—come here, you children of a sorceress,
you offspring of adulterers and prostitutes!
    Who are you mocking?
    At whom do you sneer
    and stick out your tongue?
Are you not a brood of rebels,
    the offspring of liars?

Salvation is always in part as is condemnation. Hebrews 4:12-13 tells us what God does with parts in our lives where we did not heed His truth - while Romans 2:13-16 & 8:1-17 tells us that there is now no condemnation for those who have life in His Spirit but that life pleasing the flesh is doomed.

So yes indeed we Christians can have life in the Spirit in part and i can have life in sin in part. Jesus calls such the sheep and the goats. See also Daniel 12:1-3. i believe that God's sovereign election is of the heart first where we are either saved or judged according to deed. And so in our life of sin will be called to account and we will perish Revelation 20:11-15 while in our life in God's Spirit we have always been from Eternal and are eternal. Ephesians 1:1-10

That this is the way salvation goes should not surprise us. For we need to be saved from a sinful life and Ezekiel 18:4b teaches us that those who sin will die. Any one who has repented of sin knows this is true. When we repent of sin the sinful part in us dies and we come to life in the new in that part of our lives. Now our lives as believers is to be 100 percent of the time saved from the sin that dwells in us. Therefore faithful believers rejoice when sin dies while in our sinner self we groan our last breath.

To be a believer doesn't mean you will be saved in your sin. So we can never relax a sinner. For when Christ comes or when we die then we will be saved from our sin. So i know that life in sin will always die and is never saved while deeds done in the Spirit of God are always from Eternal and our lives in Him in that part of our life is therefore always eternal.

    Oh Come, Glorious Judgement!

Judgement Day begins when you meet up with Jesus,
He will search out your heart completely,
dividing the sheep from the goat!

He will address your inner lovelessness with His love,
and chase the clinging coldness away,
from death setting your soul wholly free!

Truly Judgement Day, is a day of ecstatic joy,
freedom for all those hurting and killed,
Only His Loving Truth ruling your inner reality.

Bad religion shall no longer cause any bother,
As His loving joy now finds deeper root,
Lush growth replacing all the deadness!

Yet Judgement Day will be the end of your fear,
As no terror may travel on The Way,
All of you in union, praising the Lamb!

Your big I, gets new function in the rear,
Loving Jesus ruling as king in place!
You loving our Heavenly Father dearly.

In all your life's deeds The Son you'll meet,
Answerable for all that you have done,
In good and bad His truth visiting you!

Judgement Day is about being rightly placed,
good and loving upfront - to B(b)e -
all bad behind - passing away!

2 Corinthians 15:2 The LORD is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.

You can't forsake someone you were never with in the first place So, pondering on the word "but" please see the obvious.

Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved.

I pray you will see the obvious in that verse, too.
