I'm a single lady and ever since I was 12 or 13 (and I'm now 30) I've struggled with being attracted to males. Now I know every human being on the plant has this struggle to a degree of some sort. But for me it's just way out of hand. Everytime I meet a man at Church I'm instantly thinking within seconds "is he single? Is he attracted to me?" And it just continues on from there within seconds. It's always been that way for me and I hate it. Just once I would like to meet men and not think that stuff. I keep catching myself looking to see if they are wearing a wedding ring. I keep having to battle feeling sorry for myself every Valentines Day. It's been like this since I was 12 or 13 and I just don't want this battle anymore. I don't want to be attracted to anyone at all ever for the rest of my life. This battle does get worse but I will not go into detail as there is no need but yeah it gets very troublesome and out of hand very quickly. I'm afraid if this keeps up one day I'll get myself in a lot of trouble that I don't want. I have prayed for a relationship before but I believe the answer is no and that's fine I accept that and if that's the case then there's no logical reason for me to be attracted to men anymore. Please pray for me that GOD will take away all of my attraction for men and that I will never ever be attracted to men again and I will only see them as friends totally platonic.

Father, You have designed the human being, and JennyPenny901 in particular. You know her attractions; You know her frustrations. Whether You change the former or not, may You show her how to have victory over the latter. We all have temptations, whether they are "attractions" or something else. Temptation is a big frustration if we don't know how to prepare in advance for it and respond to it properly. Re: attractions, Lord, sometimes we are even more sensitive to the things we are trying to avoid. We may be told "Don't think about sex!" and then we start thinking about it. There is better advice to be given. May Jenny be led of You to find peace in her situation, and guidance from You in the ways to be prepared to respond in the right way to these "attractions." May they not frustrate her, but guided by her to a useful purpose. Suggestions in next post. Amen.

God didn't mean for man or woman to be alone. The marriage bed is honored by God, but fornication is not. We have a loving Lord that forgives our sins. And there is nothing wrong with asking God to choose your life partner for you. It is always good to wait upon the Lord. My prayer is for your happiness.

I would suggest preparation in this way. Determine that the next time you first come into being attracted to a man that You praise the Lord for the opportunity to pray a blessing of God for him (be specific) whether you ever speak with him or not. Pray God will speak to that man's conscious about drawing closer to God, for example. Thank God for the opportunity to be such a prayer warrior. Thank God for God's omnipresence in Your life, and for reminding of You of this each time you have such an attraction. See yourself as God's secret agent of prayer for such men. Learn to redirect this attraction for each of these men, directing it to God, the lover of your eternal soul. God is a jealous God Scripture tells us. When attracted to a man, use it as an opportunity to tell God how much you love Him, and that He is far more attractive to you than any man. Think more along these lines, and let God give you even more ways to handle this in such a way to be a blessing to both of you.

I am not criticizing the above comments, but would like to add to them here.
Adam was not meant to be alone, and people in general were not meant to be alone, but there are some that God would have never marry, and live an even closer life to Him, more dedicated to Him. See 1 Corinthians 7 and and Matthew 19:12. Lord, may You help people be discerning of Your will for their own lives, and discerning of what Your Word teaches on the subject.

Father, I pray that You will give @JennyPenny901 Your eyes concerning men. Let her see them as You see them. LORD, her heightened attraction to men is causing much frustration in her life, and I ask that You lessen it the the degree You have intended for her to have. Father, if there is underlying loneliness or the need to find worth through others, I pray that You will show her her worth in You. May she find her greatest fellowship in Your Presence. May You be her All-in-all first and foremost. Bless her and guide her eyes and her heart as she walks with You by faith. :praying::)
