I thought it was anything but a given, Mary, that he loved his chidlren more than you, despite apposing his signature. Usually, in such situations, they put pressure on the elderly parent, in this case, lying about you, as well.
Fortunately, he is not weak and a 'push-over' for them, and came to his senses in no uncertain fashion. In fact, it may have prompted him to take the initiative in seeing that you are provided for, in the event of his predeceasing you. I hope so. He might want to give you power of attorney at some stage. And make you the sole executor of his estate. That would really send them off their rockers. Who knows? may be sole beneficiary!

Dave would never give me power of attorney, nor would I expect him to.
I never was out to get anything from him.

I don't doubt that for one second, Mary, re your never being out to get anything from him. And it sounds as if Dave doesn't doubt it, either, the way he handled that. It was actually quite comical to read, if you have an ever so slightly mean, schadenfreudy kind of mind like mine.
I know we've little enough to go on, but you do sound a great pair/couple.

Hello sister Mary ,God bless you and Im so thankful the Lord intervened in this matter for you and your friend ..I have only been in this Ministry about a week I guess and didnt see your post until a few min ago but surely would have prayed for you if I had...but thankful that you did receive so many prayers and rejoicing that the Lord took care of it ..There is nothing to hard for the Lord to do..thats for sure..

I just read this thread and I am so happy for you Mary that things worked out for you! I will pray for your health and that you would feel better and be able to do more. I hope things work out with Dave's kids it is good they are 150 miles away!! I'll pray for peace for you also. It was good to "meet" you and so happy about the situation!!

Dear God I pray for your mercy for this sister of ours who's in need right now.. I don't know what to pray for but You already know what she needs.. please console her bleeding hearrt and provide the best solution from this turmoil.. in Jesus' name I surrender everything. Amen.

Mary, I just came across this thread and I am so thankful that your friend voided the eviction notice. I was praying as I was reading all the prayers earlier in this thread. I pray that your health improves and that his children do not bother you anymore. I wish you the best, God bless you.
