  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

well, actually, are you nursing??? Ok if not then I am not sure, but if you are, you may not recieve another period until after the child starts on solid food, or you stop nursing. I nursed both mine and had one period and then none until I stopped nursing.

But please don't count on breastfeeding as birth control if you would wish to use birth control. Some women nursiing through childbearing years never have a period, but have several pregnencies! Other women find very nice child spacing through breastfeeding which gives their bodies time to recover from each pregnency before the next one.

Could just be running a few days behind because you're hormones are still gonna be pretty wacky. I'm nursing and had a very short flow 2.5 months after her birth in July. Also, even when I'm not pregnant, the seasons and everything would throw mine out of sync, causing me to be up to 4 days early or late. Like extreme weather changes (weird but true).

Even if you're not nursing, yes your body will be out of whack for a while! It takes a couple years at least for your hormones to go down somewhat.
I have a friend who stopped breastfeeding at 5mths. It still took her 3 years to get her periods back to regular. I would just ask your doctor to make sure everything is alright.

It's really normal for your cycle to be off for up to a year after a birth, or up to a year after breastfeeding. Even if it isn't the hormones, the stress of new motherhood can sometimes creat havoc on our cycles. Even adoptive moms have cycle troubles sometimes due to pure exhuastion in those early months. :)
