  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have a dear friend who is divoreced and still hurting and wants my counseling but Ive never been married much less divorced what can i do but pray for her and let her cry on me?> Give me some insight on how you feel ?
I think you being there and praying for her are the most important things you can do for her. Is she a Christian? There are Christian divorce support groups out there...but mainly giving her hurt and fears and worries to God is the most beneficial thing for her to do. God will give her strength and encouragement like noone can. My prayers are with her. You may even want to introduce her to this internet site.

It might help you to also study up on many of the reassuring verses in the bible, reminding her about the loving, caring, devoted nature of God. Find Scripture to comfort her in her time of trial and pain, in addition to listening as she cries and talks things through. It might also do her a great deal of good if you were to suggest that she cry out to the Lord herself, through prayer.
