  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The scriptural reference you made in the OP, ""Lord, Lord" at the end and the Lord won't receive them" is from Matt 7:22-23 "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?" "And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

Some think this means not to prophesy nor cast out devils nor do wonderful works but there are other Scriptures that say do those things in His name such as Matt 10:7-8 and I Cor 14:31 so it can't be about that.

But by reading the previous verse we see the key (Matt 7:21) states "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." So what's His will? Yahweh's will is for us to love Him and love others as ourselves according to Matt 22:37-39 "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." "This is the first and great commandment." "And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." Loving ourselves is important - of course, not in a prideful way.

This is from your testimony in the OP " I gave my life to Jesus several years ago, ...I mean, I really loved Him, knew the sacrifice that He had done for me and praised Him for this" "...saw the importance of a holy life and I just craved for that..." and "I love people more." Sounds like you love Him with your heart, soul and mind but you're the only one with Yahweh who can determined that. You've submitting to His will so He has changed you and as you continue to submit, He will continue to make changes in you.

What's in verse 24? It's about a wise man building his house on the rock (Psa 18:2 Yeshua is our rock).

Be encouraged and accept His peace while you continue to grow in Him with heart evaluations or as you put it "I just want to follow Him, to be holy and full of passion for Him. :(."
