  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Please help me.

I am emerging from the deepest, darkest place I have ever been in my 43 years. I am learning about and trying to coming to terms with being a manic depressive and forgiving myself for some of the sins that I committed due to this illness. As well, my husband is learning how to deal with this along with his own personal demons. Also, my best friends do not understand this disease and have cut me out of their lives (both of which are Christians). My prayer request would be for strengthening my faith, guidance and understanding for my husband, my friends any myself. I would also ask you to pray with me for the salvation of my husband and the restoration of my friendships.

I thank you and ask God to bless you.:help:

It seems like every time I read a prayer these last few days, I find myself in the people who are writing them.

Girly, I feel YOUR pain most acutely. I was manic-depressive and medicated for a good number of years in my 20's. I know the way people leave when they find out, I know the way you get angry and feel like you need a shirt that reads'"trust Me.' ...and, I know how crazy you can get! I was hospitalized 3 times over 5 years and had all number of losses and changes occurring as a result. I actually met my current husband, my only husband, after my third hospitalization when EVERYONE else had given up on me.

I have two things to say:

DO what your doctors say and TAKE YOUR MEDICATION

BELIEVE in Jesus Christ, He is the way back to sanity and reason and a steadfast real healing of your heart, mind and spirit. I KNOW this.

Php 4:7 - Show ContextAnd the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Lord Jesus, I pray with all my heart and all my mind and all my strength that You would deliver this dear one to a place of rest and peace and restoration. That You would restore the years the locust has eaten, not in titt-for-tat fashion, but in abundance! That You would impart a new intimacy between Yourself and this dear tired, broken, misunderstood and judged soul. That You would cradle and embrace her, shine Your Light and Life in her places of greatest darkness, fears and death. Jesus, errect beacons of Your Presence there, ever to abide and end the reign of terror, confusion, excess, and exhaustion. BRING Your deliverance in moderation, in balance, in reason, in steadfastness and in praise and thanksgiving. Restore her mind, body and spirit...and be pleased in her health, rebuilt in You, for Your Glory. amen.

Lord we ask that You break the spirit of manic depression off of her. That spirit doesn't belong there, we ask that you fill her with the Holy Spirit Father. Lord we ask that you have her husband build a relationship with You, and call on Your name to receive his salvation. In Jesus name Amen.

Well before I pray for you I would love to share with you. Anyone who turns their back on you due to mentel illness wasn't a true friend. Second don't beat yourself up fopr you where not in control in your illness. I speak as one who suffers the same with my drug abuse.
Father I come bodly with your word that say we are of a kingdom that presses on and we don't look back, so Father may this dear sister hear that voice in her sprit to press on. To forget what was behind and press on towards the crosds in Christ. Father we are of a kindome of power and a sound mind, which I ask you in the blood of Christ to give this sister Father a sound mind. Lord that all that see her in Christ will be humbled at your grace and power. For you came for those who where sick and needed a doctoe. Not for the healthy. Father I bind all that is sais here in the blood of Christ to be so. In Christ name .Ament.

I understand your pain and confusion. My mother is manic depressive, and so is my brother. In addition, I have done an internship at a mental health facility with people who are manic depressive and schizophrenic. Please be sure to take your medication and go to therapy to learn to deal with your symptoms.

God is a friend to the friendless and will never leave you no matter what. He will help you cope with this and give you His power to glorify Him in and through your illness. Trust Him.

Father, I pray for this sister, and just ask that you would heal her and help her learn what she needs to about her illness. I pray you will strengthen her and give her your peace. Help her to be compliant with her medications and to do the work of therapy that needs to be done. Be with her doctor and therapist and give them wisdom and discernment as they minister healing to her. I pray this in Jesus precious name. Amen.

Lord, I pray for her. May her faith be strengthened and that of her friends, family and other loved ones. Watch over her and her husband, may they be blessed by you and grant them to the strength to fourish in these times of trial. I lift up her husband, especially Lord, and his state of salvation in you. If he has not accepted you into his heart God, call him to you and work in his heart so that he may come to know you and believe. These things are prayed most fervantly in your name Lord. Amen.

God Bless,
Ceris
