So frustrating when the OP bails.

No, I did not mean to bail. I just don't have access to a computer until now.
Now I can respond because I have access.

You are not a nobody and God loves you just as much as he loves me (& Im pretty sure thats a lot more than either of us could imagine)

A lot of people are very quick to point out others flaws while acting like they're holy eunuch with not so much as an impure thought in there head.. sadly being Christian dosent always seem to be a cure for general azzhatery

Everybody deals with temptation. sometimes we win the fight, sometimes we dont, If you fall then you get back up ask for forgiveness & try again, were all human & God knows that (He did create us after all)
You might want to look up a guy called Sy Rogers on Youtube & watch some of his videos. They may help give you some perspective.
 *Hugs* (from a not so perfect Christian )

Thank you

That was very helpful.

You are a "Somebody" wonderfully and skillfully made. It is a " daily struggle" to resist the temptations of sin. But, in our week ness He is Made Strong. We should ALL strive to uplift one another and carry one another's burdens...

Thank you and God bless.

When I read this I could hear one of my favourite quotes from the movie Unforgiven.

"We all have it coming kid"

None of us really know how dirty and messed up we are. We are like pigs wallowing in mud, one pig pointing to a spec of dirt on the other pigs nose. This is not to excuse sin, Sin equals death and if you refuse to live a righteous life there will be a heavy price to pay and it starts now, not in eternity, This I know from experience. But thank God almighty that his grace is sufficient to cleanse me of all my sin. One day nobody will be pointing fingers any more.

Thank you

You spoke the truth along with grace. I appreciate it.

I've never read where the bible addresses a consensual homosexual relationship. Only sodomy (anal rape of a man, or a women), and promiscuous sexual activity outside of marriage. Adultery was sleeping with another man's wife (who I imagine, often had no say in the matter, husband or not), or having sex outside of marriage, just for pleasure. That probably wasn't considered to be the natural use of a woman. Procreation was. Promiscuous sex with other men was a loophole for a while. It had nothing to do with love. The social structure was different, back before the concept of romantic love came into existence. Marriage was not about romantic love, it was about survival and convenience. Procreation and service. As with every other living thing. The law was in place, for the moral benefit of people who had not yet developed a concept of "morality". That's why they had no problem with stoning people to death for any little mistake made. Before modern medicine, we just had to chop of a leg if it was damaged. It was for the good of the injured person, when there was no other understanding. But that changed, just as the law did. Love fulfilled the law, because the law was no longer sufficient. But it was necessary at the time. Can anyone reference an account (in western civilization) of selfless love and sacrifice, that predates the account of Jesus Christ, who came to teach us how to love one another? We only learn things with the use of words and language. It had to be written, because our words create our perspectives. Jesus is the living Word of God. God is Love. Love and Light, are the only definitive statements in the bible that describe what God "is". Love is the only thing that has ever created anything. I think that makes perfect sense and truth out of the message. But, that's just my perspective. And perspectives can't be forced upon other people, so love is the only thing that can change a hateful/fearful perspective. We are the Light that shines the Love, but only if our eyes are single (focused) on it (love; God; positive energy). We are supposed to be the salt of the earth. Salt enhances flavor (God flavor), for the better. If we (the salt) lose our savor (flavor of God/love), then what good are we? We'll just be trampled on.

thank you for your reply.

I have a confession to make to you. I struggle with same-sex attraction. I know that this is a perversion. I love myself obviously but I do not like myself very well. I still struggle with lust, which is disgusting. I am disgusted with myself. But I do not engage in sexual activity with a human being.

(And yes, I realize I deserve death. I have had Christians use the Old Testament against me saying that the church should execute me if it wasn't illegal.)

I have gotten angry and bitter towards Christians that speak the truth when they say that homosexuality is sin. Some of them have even used harsh words like [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] and queer.

But I also know that the church did not create the laws of God. Even if the Christian church decided to accept homosexuality, it won't change the fact that homosexuality is sin. So I know that they are speaking the truth.

Now, this is not saying that gay people are not hateful. They are suing Christians that won't provide for their gay services; Christians have gotten fired for their stance on homosexuality; I saw a man get arrested in the UK for saying homosexuality is sin. Oh, and there is Kim Davies who got arrested. Just to let you know, I think all of these thing are a sign that Jesus is coming back. But I could be wrong.

But here is also another truth. Christians are also doing the same thing. Gay kids get kicked out of their Christians homes; gays have gotten kicked out of Christian homeless shelters; they have gotten fired from jobs as well, but they probably shouldn't be working in Christian schools; they have gotten beaten by other Christians (kids have gotten beaten by their baptist fathers more then once).

I don't know how true these stories are. I just did some research.

I hate this gay vs Christian. I don't want to be part of this. I don't want to be rejected or hated because of my struggles. But I also don't want to hate the people of God as well. Scripture tells me that I can't reject Christians and embrace Christ, for it doesn't work like that.

I am scared of going to church, and having people find out. My mannerism will give me away. I don't even have to say that I am gay; they will know. I don't want to be lonely and miserable. Some gay people that were trying to turn their life around in the church ended back in the gay community because they did not feel love in the church. And the gay community is a tight knit community.

Sometimes it seems like that Christians love every other sinner except the gay sinners. This hurts me.

I don't know why I wrote this thread, except to be honest. People were trying to help me when I confessed that I struggle with lust. And they thought I was talking about lusting after women.

I am trying not to hate Christians or be bitter towards them. But I just don't know if the church is a good environment for me. I may have to be a solitary Christian (if I am able to be a Christian).

Amanobody :) , yours is a delima that is being seriously wrestled with in today's world. And I am pretty open minded about this stuff. "I may have to be a solitary Christian (if I am able to be a Christian)." It seems to me Amanobody that it all boils down to, "What does it mean to you "to be a Christian"?" And how about this question :) , "What is it that draws you to Jesus?"

A great many Christians, myself included, no longer consider same sex attraction to be a perversion.

That's a good question.

The fear of God for one thing. I fear God. But I still have sin in my life that I want to get rid of. And I don't know what else draws me to be perfectly honest.

That's interesting. I don't know how to respond to that to be perfectly honest. I don't if you mean just same-sex attraction or the behavior.

Have you asked Jesus to be saved from your sins? Through His blood and death on the cross as the payment for all sins? Thaqt is what Jesus can do. And if you are One of Jesus Christ's then you have the justification of the perfection of Christ. In Christ there is no fear. Without Christ their is fear, the fear of your being held accountable for your own sin.

I mean both. I believe that both heterosexuals and homosexuals should be held to the exact same standards of morality with the same rights and responsibilities in marriage.

Amanobody, that is an honest answer and I have been there myself :) . So to be honest with you, I had the same problem from the same angle that you have back in my younger days. How did I solve it :) ? I guess I just didn't want to upset God, so I never went that direction. And I do not regret it and I do not feel like I have been cheated or anything. I have always been in touch with my feminine side and sensitive which has always been a major problem when it comes to being a man/male in a man's world. And I am not very big, so that was a problem also. On top of that I had some pretty crumby personality programming that I picked up in my young formative years and no matter how one looks at it I was a mess. The only thing that saved me was my close personal relationship with Lord Jesus. He always had my back and he always helped me through troubled waters whenever I went to Him about it. Which in my case was constantly :) . And Amanobody I have been a solitary Christian most of the time in my life. But at the same time I have always had a close one on one relationship with Lord Jesus even though I did spend a lot of my life angry at God for one reason or another.

Amanobody, I guess my concern relative to you based on my life long struggle with stuff are you words, "(if I am able to be a Christian)". Amanobody there are a lot of Christians out there that one runs into that are very judgemental and dogmatic about stuff and they will tell you that if you do not believe exactly like they do that you can not or are not a Christian. Which is why I am Non-Denominational and more open minded about the requirements for being a Christian. A lot of folks would and do :) consider me not a Christian, but as far as I am concerned, a life without Lord Jesus is just plain not doable. So ok, you question if you can be a Christian? Fine :) but do not under any circumstances give up on a one on one personal relationship with Lord Jesus. Go to Him and talk to Him and He will help you with stuff. Sometime it takes a while to get things solved but eventually they will get solved. Just don't give up on Jesus. You can give up on God and give up on Christianity but don't give up on Jesus. And if you don't He will eventually bring you around to an understanding that solves the problems that you may have with God, Christianity, sexual inclinations, and other folks in general. Faith can be based on experience if one is willing to give experience a try. Amanobody my heart goes out to you and you are loved!

I have asked him to save me from my sin. But I am not consistently asking him to save me every day. I know I need to be consistent in seeking him. Jesus said to be pick up my cross daily and follow him. I am not consistently reading the Bible and praying like I should. I do it once in a while. So I am starting to realize the problem.

You do not have to ask Him to save you anymore. That is done. You are God's Child now, no one can ever take that away from you brother!

Don't worry so much at first about picking up your cross. Prayer, worship (like listening to Christian songs and praising Him) if you do not have any, try KLOVE at http://www.klove.com/ there is a large button to Listen Online, and the Bible (start in the New Testament). Try to repent right away for sin because it's easier.

I am so glad you are saved Brother! You are Jesus's and He is Yours now.

I'll be praying for you and I hope others in this thread will join me.

* Big Hug* for you. May God bless you.
