I'd like to encourage people to pray for Ukraine to look at the bigger picture and STOP FIGHTING POINTLESSLY against a far more powerful enemy lead by a deranged leader. They will inevitably lose and what is far more important is the loss of life and infrastructure which will take years to rebuild. I really doubt if you asked a parent there if they would rather lose their soldier son or live under Russian rule, they would pick the former. But the irony is they will lose their soldier son AND be under Russian rule for now. You don't fight an enemy like that conventionally. You do it in subtle means and fight economically like the world is doing with sanctions with no loss of life or demolished infrastructure. Sure it takes longer but isn't a life worth it? Petty nationalistic pride is so futile. And it kills so many in needless wars. The real tragedy is most soldiers are in their military because of economic reasons, not nationalistic pride or allegiance. They were broke so they joined the army. It was their only option. Now many are dead. Dead because of poverty.

Why all the destruction, maiming and fear in the Ukraine?
Putin must be full of war and hate within himself for it to overflow and be inflicted on others. It will impact on food supply in other nations as well as Ukraine.
Dear Father, send justice to the oppressed people in Jesus name.

I don't pretend to be that knowledgeble on world conflicts, but it is my take that when non-combattant of society are caught in the crossfire, it is called 'collateral damage' and is expected among those who war to avoid this if at all possible. Now, with the likes of Putin descending upon all non-fighting because they can't bring home a victory against the determined Ukrainians, then there is a man of the times of ruthlessness in which we live, without so many qualities that make us mutual members of mankind.

But we now see the temptation that has taken Mr Putin. One that has no end but only to worsen with time. A modern-day destroyer of his own and neighbor alike.

I'm thankfully ignorant of the amount of evil surrounding the issues of Ukraine's invasion. But I have no doubt, with all, ignorance is not mine alone! God is a master at finding out the details and in handing victory over to those blessed of Him.
