  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

In Relationship
Hello, first time poster.

I will be getting engaged this upcoming fall. I have been with this girl for two years, but less than a year ago, officially began courting with our parents blessings. We have talked about marriage and everything, so no worries there. I just really want to plan a proposal she will love, but is also Christ centered. Without giving away all the details, I think with how strong she is in her faith, and her love of the Lord, proposing in front of a cross would be something that would bless us both, and help her know that our marriage and relationship will be Christ centered to the best of both of our abilities as well as the love of the Father that has been given to us so we in turn can love each other deeply as Christ loves the church.

Thoughts? Concerns? Questions? Prayer appreciated!

Thanks!
