Yes it is true even for America.

Right. Six states since 2021, all red. But aren't conservatives more concerned about nudity than liberals in general? That conservatives are writing "bathroom bills" is not surprising.

I was on that thread and that’s not all what was said. You’re being extremely disingenuous and if you’re using that person and their statements about their family as an example to boost you and insult them, you should have the decency to tag them.

You absolutely can’t claim moral high ground when you misquote what a person said about their family and kids in order to try to bolster your baseless assumption then exclude them so they can’t defend themselves and your trash talk can be unchallenged. It’s a cheap shot I’m sure you wouldn’t appreciate done to you or your family.

No, you’re totally unaware of how laws work in the US. That’s ok, but you can’t confuse what you don’t know as a fact, lol.

No You didn't read it properly. Whatever provision made is only for the non-hetero. Any hetero still falls under the bathroom bill.
LoL! Dude, you should read it. That explains the concept, then explains it’s not “the law of the United States” and that only 6 states have tried to enact versions, all were challenged, and they have tenuous constitutionality. Then it goes on to list a ton of data on how transgender people in the bathroom of their identity does not lead to higher, but actually in some cases lower, violent crimes. On top of that, it doesn’t override provisions in place for emergency access due to health needs.

You’re out of your element, dude.

Sorry, I can accept the person without accepting their so-called identity. Simple.

How does that play out during interactions with such people?
(I mean, it’s fine that you hold this opinion, there’s nothing wrong about that, but during actual encounters with transgender folk, doesn’t it get in the way?)

If only they’d leave “normal people” alone

You make it sound as if that's an unreasonable request.

We leave them alone.

You don't see me demanding all sorts of ridiculous requests from the trans community....do you? Do you see me demanding control over the words they use?

Your snide remark about leaving "normal people" alone is more revealing than you intended. Yeah, they should leave normal people alone. This is the US...I'll do my thing, you'll do your thing, and we all play by the same rules. At no point are you required to do as I say, and I don't have to do as you say, and it all works out.

If some group shows up and tells you and me that we should rearrange everything in society according to their whim....you should have enough spine to stand with me and say no.

What happened to you? How exactly did these people who make endless demands convince you they're your moral superiors? Do you think they're floating above you and never wrong? Did they convince you it's right and good to trample on the rights and opportunities of real women for their benefit?

I watched the video attached in that post where I mentioned that I didn't originally watch the video.

It contains an email from the manager.

Nowhere in the email does it claim that the male employee had no other restroom available for him to use.

Not only do you acknowledge the video is there

And now I've watched it. It doesn't say what you claim it does. Stop making things up.....or show me where the manager says that was the only restroom available.

This guy could have used the men's restroom.

Is that clear?

Because sneaking around to peek at naked women is creepy

Agreed.
In any case one's expectation of privacy in one's bedroom with the shades drawn is rather different from that in a public locker room.

Women's locker room.

You understand that, right? They have a locker room and restrooms for men and one for women.

Was the individual at Planet Fitness hiding and peeking out at naked women unbeknownst to them?

No...it became known to the woman.

Or did he just rush to use the toilet and happen to catch a glimpse of a naked woman?

He's at work. He isn't traveling 200 miles down the road and stopping the first available place to use the restroom before he soils himself. He knew he needed to use the restroom (just like everyone else....all the time) long before he used the restroom.

Why didn't he go use the men's restroom? There's nobody saying it wasn't working or that no stalls were available.

Of course he's using it to spy on naked women. The nonchalant nature of the employees reaction should have been a clue this isn't the first time it's happened.

My point, (such as it is) is that this is a societal issue, and should be dealt with in a societal venue; marshaling the government (for either side) is a bad move, since laws are meant to impinge of individual rights.

By all means, continue to fight for “your side”; let’s just keep the Law out of it.

Just treat them well, like anyone else. No problem at all.

Yes, I understand what you’re saying. About 20+ years ago, my dad and I accidentally used a woman’s restroom at a movie theatre.

Yet, wish they weren’t there, didn’t exist, forgive me but I’m really having trouble wrapping my mind around your various statements: I’ve seen you call transgender people all manner of (arguably) pejorative things, “mentally ill“, “pushy”, “demanding”…yet are gracious to them when out-and-about?

Curious.

People can have mental illnesses. People can be pushy and demanding.

How is that pejorative?

Good grief.

All transgender people are “mentally ill”?
(Maybe 200 years ago they’d’ve had a “demon”? Or witchcraft?)

I’m glad that you’re able to have some level of compassion, even though it’s scant.

There is compassion. Saying someone has a mental illness isn’t hateful or bigoted.

While I agree “it’s all in their heads”, I differ in that they’ve got brains that are certain that the body they’re housed in should have a vulva but instead sports a penis, (or vice versa).
We cannot, as yet, “fix the brain”; we have however made great strides in shaping their body to conform to their brain’s expectations.

To not allow them to do so at the earliest age they, their parents, (and physicians) are comfortable with is beneath us as a society.

But there are neutral encounters in our society (workplaces, schools) where saying that to a trans person would be considered hateful and bigoted. It is not your place, even as a Christian, to offer your diagnosis to a stranger.

If I’m not mistaken quoting someone in another thread other than the one they posted in is called “calling out “ and it’s against the rules

Some aren't mentally ill. Some have autogynaphelia and some are just perverts.
