TikTok user Tiff (@theunapologetictiff) posted the original video, which has since amassed more than 879,000 views, on June 28. In it, she says, “I am so upset, and I’m not trying to be dramatic, but I’m literally shaking.” She says she was just at Planet Fitness changing in the women’s locker room when a male staff member walked out of the women’s bathroom and saw her without a shirt or bra on.

So guy working at Planet Fitness peeps on woman changing clothes...and PF decides to tell her to relax and plays the whole thing off.

It doesn't appear that the guy is trans....but as PF allows anyone to use the restroom they feel comfortable in, he doesn't appear to be in any trouble. Besides, what difference would it make if he said he feels like a woman?

Judging by the response from staff, this isn't his first time. PF even runs a scary promo allowing underage girls to try the gym out for free.

The employee was disciplined (for the sin of needing to go to the bathroom urgently when the other bathrooms were occupied), the woman got 3 months free despite her admission to “cursing at” and “yelling” at the girl at the front desk (who wasn’t involved), and she got her internet fame for the day. I’m sure Derek Blasberg was relieved to know somebody else’s intestinal misadventures were talked about for the day on Tik Tok.

No harm is done to a woman merely by the sight of a naked man.

In this context, I took "single use bathroom" to mean a room that locks, and has only a single toilet/sink inside. He's not saying there's no toilets in the men's locker room....but they are probably stalls lined up next to each other. Nor do I think he's stating that there were no toilets available....but rather, he wanted a bathroom all to himself and the only ones are through the women's locker room (that's why she was half naked when he walked out of the restroom).

One can only guess why he wanted the restroom all to himself or if walking out on women in various states of undress was his plan.

I didn't originally watch the video attached to the article...but it doesn't mention a lack of men's restroom to use either.

If you have access to some other info...or I just missed something...please link it.

Right...well if you had a grandchild (18+yo since you're an elderly man) and she was changing in the spare bedroom at your house (hypothetically of course) and some man was watching her through the window...you wouldn't call the police because no harm was done?

What would you do? Tell her to get over it?

That's rather a silly example, but sure, I would call the police because the man was performing an illegal act and my granddaughter would be upset about it because it is creepy.

I watched her video series. She says the DM said there were no bathrooms available. If his goal was to “look at women in various states of undress,” he wouldn’t have sought out a private toilet or blasted out in full and plain sight. He would have known she was there and stayed hidden.

His needing a bathroom urgently, the only toilets available being there, and his seeing her being an accident was his story, the story of the DM, the front desk woman, and makes way more sense than the narrative that said he was sneaking a peek and upon seeing a woman topless, he decided that was the time to pop out of hiding, walk through, and get spotted. Considering there are considerably fewer toilets than urinals in the men’s room and many more in the woman’s room, he either went in thinking he was alone and bothering nobody, or a more pressing concern was occupying his mind and he didn’t think beyond “must find toilet.”

People sometimes use a bathroom that’s immediately accessible, even if it isn’t “theirs.” The number of times women have used men’s rooms because the line is shorter is so high that venues even plan for it during events. Planet Fitness has small facilities and I have no problem thinking the 1-3 toilets in the men’s room had somebody in them and he couldn’t wait for them to clear out, like women do sometimes.

The women's restroom and women's lockerroom.

The similarity is the expectation of privacy from the opposite sex. One does not expect some male stranger to be staring at them while naked.

Now that I've answered your questions...I'd like to hear the answer to mine from the poster I asked.

He made what I think is a ridiculous statement but I'm giving him the opportunity to back it up.

You said no harm is being done.

This woman had essentially the same experience....a man watching her in a state of undress where men aren't supposed to be.

Why wouldn't you want her to have the same privacy you'd want for your granddaughter? Why call the police on a man "doing no harm"?
