Most Christian music is fairly straight foward with it's meanings. Other groups, like Skillet (My beautiful robe, Scarecrow, Locled in a cage)
Reality Check (Masquerade)
Code of Ethics (Shake me)
M ake extensive use of metaphors. I prefer the latter. Scarecrow by skillet probably uses a dozen differant metaphors in one song! I find it helps them present, deeper more abstract trueth. What's your opinion? Don't get me wrong though, straight foward lyrics are grat too.
after all, Petra Rocks!

If God didn’t give us an inerant word, then:

He left us to grope in the dark, and that’s not a loving thing to do.

Ben Laden may be right.

The Moonies may be right

There may not be a heaven.

Jesus may not have really risen.

I may still be in my sins

Well for saying i have a GCSE exam on metaphors soon lol (it's involved in the exam at least!). I don't know many songs that use metaphors because i've not really looked to be honest lol! Do any Phatfish or Delirious? songs use metaphors? I really should start looking at the lyrics shouldn't I? lol
