The Pizzelle or Ferratelle are a sweet Abruzzo used for important occasions and during parties. My mom made them for our breakfast Today and the first time I made the Pizzelle for my baby (My Sweet Nephew)!
Note:Pizzelles are addictive and a single recipe yields lots of cookies. It is easy to make, we need a special Pizzelle iron only. There are may types of Pizzelle iron. You can see here.
The cookies are great drizzled with white chocolate or semisweet chocolate. Also you can mold it into a cone shape and fill cream. Likes to make almond, vanilla and you can use orange or lemon extracts as well.
This is my mother's recipe
:Ingredients:
reparation: slash eggs together with sugar and oil.
Add the wine and the yeast, then pour the flour and the anise seeds, always beating with the spatula.
The mixture obtained must be homogeneous and consistency medium. Rest for an hour (covered with olive oil).
Heat the iron for 10 minutes. Open the Pizzelle iron.
Pour on both sides with oil, place a spoonful of dough in the iron open, close the iron and cook the time necessary.
And It's ready now....
