Just posting in to the new thread....but, it seems we are flooded with merchandise from China these days...it is hard to find something made in America...my pet supplies, especially foods are made in America...the kibble comes from Canada.

Very true...in fact hubby lost his design job (and their whole manufacturing shop located next door to their office) when they sent all their work to China
Thankfully he got that last contract job, but others suffered from those changes!

Today's Budgerigar Chick Images

We need to replace nestbox lining [kitchen towelling] DAILY, now they are so big
It gets so messy in there

So, in this way, they become available for photos

be careful with handling them they carry viruses.
My sis got an eye disease that they thought was macular degeneration at first
but a specialist from India recognized it. It is rare but is carried by birds.

We are scrupulous
re: cleaning up [after handling them]

We use a foaming Hand Sanitizer [alcohol-free]
It is hard on germs and soft on skin

Mary, wears cotton gloves to handle them [also]

Yes, they grow pretty quickly, to adult size


What we are seeing...
is, that all four chicks have their Dad's main colour
with the two youngest having black feathers in their wings
the two eldest are principally 'white'
with patches of Dad's colour [Turquoise].... [Pied]

While it is, too-early to be sure, right-now
it is beginning to look as though, the two eldest, could, be hens
while, the two youngest, could likely, be males
