CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi,
I'm not sure what type of photography you are in to, but if you are starting off, then a basic digital photography class will do. I did a 10 week (1 day a week) class about two years ago, and it helped me a lot.
To learn the basic skills, you either need a mentor or attend a class. Even if you read it in a book or watch it on a DVD, it is still best to have a mentor.
I'm still learning daily, and visit photography websites such as betterphoto.com to see what people are up to and how they do it.

Sure, if it is something you're interested in. It isn't really a requirement or anything but certainly can't hurt either. I would have taken a photography class or two in college if I had the equipment I have now.
